been freaking out about it what is school and why is everyone talking about it as someone who's been on the platform for over 2 years launched a community that did over $90,000 in our pre-sale launch and continued to make over $300,000 our first year I'm not going to be the person to tell you my game plan on how I'm going to make money with school I'm going to show you how we actually made money to$ 100 to $300,000 per month and then he would get a bunch of groups together to learn how they did that systemize it and then show other people how to do that as well and he scaled that insanely fast then he converted his offer to what is now called acquisition. comom that is his current brand and his current business and they essentially take businesses that are doing I think it's $100,000 to a million dollars and scale them up and the reason they're able to do this is because they take Equity inside of that company so they're taking a risk if they work with you so that's why they they if you you label your group as public your PO your PO your posts your posts and content inside can be discovered via search engine just like Google so your your school Community can rank on Google which means you can get a explosive growth as soon as you start trending on Google from a school Community nobody else offers this Facebook does not offer this no other platform is offering this right now except for school that is a huge huge win for anybody who has a public group now who created this community this this this whole thing school was started by Sam ovens I'm just going to give you a quick rundown of him because I don't need to say enough about him you probably already know but Sam ovens is an insane entrepreneur he's been in the game since he's been in his 20s um the first business that he really started that blew up was consulting.com it was making $30 million per year and he was doing just fine $30 million per year and he gave it up up for school he sold it so he could focus solely on school sam believes in focusing on one thing at a time because if you focus on multiple things you spread yourself so thin so if you focus on one thing and put all your energy and school is the youngest out of all of them they've all been around for years school is not even in its teens it's still a toddler it's only 8 years old maybe less 5 8 years old so this is just the beginning and it's getting even better there's a lot of implements uh implementations that are coming on the road map that are going to make this even better so you want to ride this wave and get ahead of it before everybody else jumps in you're already getting to that point with Alex jumping on here there's going to be a lot more people endorsing it and a lot more events to come so that is why you want to jump into school so with that let's dive into my story okay so I'm still new to school myself I joined the platform January of 202 2 so technically I've only been a user for 2 years and I've seen a lot of changes since then um originally there was no way to make mrr through school Community you had to use your own separate payment processors we were using at the time digistore I know a lot of other people like to use Sam cart or um some just go straight to stripe which is fine that's that's a pro processor a lot of people use the main Quorum I have was stripe if you're using be very dangerous if you're selling low K low ticket it's not as bad second the reason I want to jump into school is enticement I'm sure you're all tired of Facebook groups Facebook communities Discord several other avenues of communication just they're just they're falling through the cracks right I've had people hit me up a message and then they send me a slack message and then they send me an email then they send me a text it's like one place just send it through one place and with school they have direct messaging inside so they can comment and they can direct message you and it makes it so much easier to navigate one platform versus having all these different Avenues of communication Community direct message gamification all in one place I'll talk more about the gamification later but essentially school does reward people for engaging unlike Facebook where you create a post to get likes school has a similar aspect of that but the gamification allows you to unlock more levels and get more access to more content and other incentives I'll walk you through how we used our incentives to get people to engage and how you can do the same thing now third networking I wanted to jump in because this is a huge opportunity there's a lot of big players moving over to school and when you get in early and you position yourself as an expert in whatever field you're in that becomes valuable to them they want you in their network not the other way around it's it's it's very nice so you can build not only can you build your own community and host it but you can connect with other big players that are moving to school and I'm telling you right now a lot of big players are moving to school right now a lot of influencers still don't know about it so this is where the partnership opportunity is going to be very huge for a lot of people but you you need to dial in your pitch cuz I got to tell you I'm getting pitches every single day that are absolutely horrendous about a new exciting opportunity that you've never heard of and they want you to be very Broad and they want me to ask the questions I don't got time for that so make sure if you're going to partner with somebody you definitely dial it in and then of course opportunity I didn't have a large following myself when I got started but I do know several people that do and I definitely partnered up with some my good friend here Andy heel some of you most of you probably do not know who Annie heel is Andy heel is essentially the first Mentor that I had that actually gave me value and helped me grow on YouTube originally uh Andy he did travel Vlogs and he was he was doing content on traveling but he noticed that his YouTube videos were doing really well in the Long Haul so he started walking people through on how he was doing that and it took off and Andy did the same with me he helped me really dig deep into why my content was bad and what I needed to twe uh tweak and fix so that way it could start taking off and honestly I probably wouldn't be where I am today with YouTube if it wasn't for Andy so find somebody not only as a mentor but build a relationship with him me and Andy have been friends for years now because a I was a good student I took action I was on time I communicated I shared personal stories I asked personal stories I didn't just ask him for what I could take I gave back to him as well how can I help you what else can I do do for you be a great student and you will build relationships so fast with mentors that you never thought you would have the opportunity so when I partnered with Andy we wanted to find a way to essentially create the perfect offer for his audience which at the time was straight up YouTube growth a lot of people that's that's what everybody was interested in so we wanted to make sure that we did some research on the best possible offer for people in our Niche which is specifically YouTube at this time second we had to pre-sale so this is a key part of launching anything if you're going to launch anything ever always do a pre-sale whether that be a month two month three months I wouldn't go past three months but you definitely want to do a month or two of pre-selling okay basically announcing that hey we're going to be launching this this or this you're going to get this if you're interested in this tell them what they're getting or what the struggles that they have and how you can bridge the gap and it's all inside this product package it together and for two months we basically made every single piece of content on social media referencing at the end the new product or some spin on the new product then was actual preparation so that was 2 months in about a month in that's when we actually started to build our school Community we built up the classrooms the systems the templates the gu while the pre-sale was going on we were getting everything up and running systematized organized and ready to go in and in light of the launch and then of course execution when the launch happened we didn't just let everybody in we were still limited because we were high ticket and we were also offering one-on ones with group coaching so that means we are very limited on how much time we could offer and how many people could come in because of that that Drew the audience even more crazy limited offer that drives people crazy limited access to you drives them crazy so we grew a list of buyers they were lined up and they were vetted one by one via Zoom calls we pretty much had the capacity lined up for not only the first Workshop but for several workshops and essentially each one went for I believe it was for 12 weeks we took you through the entire process of creating and growing and automating a YouTube channel now we made sure that there was time sensitive uh incentives to get people to take action now so how how do you create these incentives to get people to take action now first of all the first one that I just mentioned you need to limit how much time you're you're allowed to allocate how many people are actually allowed in and they need to they need other incentives to take action that we're stealing niches definitely don't do that but it's the strategies how you frame your your video how you frame your offer how you frame whatever the value proposition that you are pitching and with that we launched tube takeoff 3.0 as you can see by Andy heeld and boy was it a great launch um right off the bat $94,000 I got to say I was a little disappointed because I was really hoping we would hit six figures on a launch but it is what it is $94,000 is still not that bad so um as you can see there's a picture of me right there in the middle looking all weird we got Rob um Robert on the left here we got Danny on the right so these are a couple of other takeoff students um these guys are great guys they've been on YouTube for a long time now and and they've created content on multiple platforms um Robert actually I believe does strictly Facebook now he found his niche in Facebook and he does other systems through Facebook which is awesome um but yeah he he started learning how to create content YouTube videos or just videos in general through tube takeoff and Danny he's not as interested in being on camera but he's more interested in editing videos and creating uh U videos for other people people I believe he runs a video editing agency right now and that's his primary focus which is awesome that's I'm kudos for both of these guys now in order to get people in you got to have some sort of proof of concept so you can't obviously we had proof of concept before we launched this but if you don't have proof of concept let people in at either an insane discount or work with one or two people one-on-one privately for free or cheap get them some results that's when you can get screenshots like this we had a student right away within 192 days now 192 days some of you might be like that's kind of crazy this was before shorts was even a thing shorts were not out at this time and with full organic traffic no advertisements no shorts we were able to take this channel to a million views 10,000 subscribers in 192 days and this person I'm I'm going to be honest a lot of the students are not YouTubers none of them have done video content none of them have any clue on how to do YouTube in general so this is a complete beginner from the bottom getting to 10,000 subscribers in 192 days it took me years to get to that point so we shaved off a lot of time and it's and not just this person look at this 933k $22,900 in Revenue this guy got 10,000 views in the last 48 hours small Channel 596 and 10,000 views in 48 hours that's pretty good look at this $1,000 in Revenue here this guy uh got a recommended got 5.6 million views from recommendations talk about blowing up okay uh and then we got some results here and here look like it it just goes on and on right like I don't need to show you all the results cuz the proof is in the pudding but there were mistakes made by myself and Andy and I want to walk you through the Mist mistakes that were made that way you don't do the same thing with your community mistake number one like I said we did a lot of one-on-one calls but a lot of members would either be late to the call or not show up at all which sets the precedent for them that it's fine we'll reschedule later offer one reschedule for the whole process if they're late if they don't have an excuse like a serious excuse do not give them that leverage other they're going to keep pushing it back and back and back and all of a sudden you have 15 people that you should have been done with via one-on-one calls but you now have to push them back and you have three more weeks of calls when you're trying to get a new class in because they're not showing up on time it's not your fault it's their fault but you need to make sure you set the precedent on that accountability establish early on what they are responsible for in order to get their desired results a lot of people believe that the second they pay you money their job is done and they don't have to do anything else that is far from the truth I don't know where people get this concept but yes paying the price is the ticket to get on board it doesn't mean the Journey's over and it doesn't mean you just get a ride the journey you still have to put in work and you still have to do X Y and Z you're just here to learn the process and we're here to make it easy for you so make sure you establish accountability and what they are responsible for right off the bat so they can get their results lastly I shouldn't say lastly but weekly calls um you definitely will want to have weekly calls in your community if you don't have weekly calls in your community if your calendar is not filled people are going to be less enticed to engage and jump on the community because they want live new upto-date iners one-on-one they want interaction people crave attention if you can give them that attention if you can give them that answer their question right now especially on camera they're going to show up for that now the mistake that we had with weekly calls is we only did group weekly once once a week which means a lot of people are not going to be able to make that specific time frame for the 1 to two hour call that we did once a week so I would try to have at least two maybe three calls a week if you can handle that time frame and spread out the times that those calls are going out that way as many people as possible have the opportunity to show up for your weekly calls and of course Focus I mean obviously engagement is important but make sure that they have their main goal at sight their desired results what is that don't focus on just engaging with the group and showing up every day and being there on the one-on-one calls none of that matters if they're losing sight of their focus so make sure that you keep them engaged on that focus on what they need to do and easy way to do that is to try to get them as many small winds as possible off the off the bat most the students that we gave small wins to are doing very well others that did not get their small wins they did not do so well is that our fault or their fault that's debatable but I will say the action takers definitely far exceeded the ones that uh expected a handout that's for sure so what you need to do once you get your first round of people in or your first set of students or you've done your first training or your first course get some feedback do some refinement and optimize and prioritize your system so like I said once your first person or group goes through your system look for common things that makes the process easy and find where the holes are okay if if something is working good great how can you systemize it or make it better so you don't have to give it a second thought where the holes are and where are the headaches that are causing problems try to find a bridge or a way to just eliminate that completely cuz if it's a minor thing that's creating such a headache get rid of it it doesn't make sense sense to even focus on it at all just do what works and focus on that and systematize and add in things L later it's better to take away things than it is to add more things on then once it's refined and seamless then you can start adding small bits and pieces and testing that as you go right here by enhancing and improving what works again eliminate the roadblocks eliminate anything that's causing headaches a easy way to get some feedback is to ask for it some people are going to have great feedback for you some are going to have not so great feedback but either way feedback is feedback not everybody is on the same level so when you find out where they're at where they're struggling or where they're succeeding at you can kind of connect the dots and make it easier and refine your group to make it easier for everybody whether that be beginner or Advanced users then rinse and repeat you just keep doing this process over and over and eventually you will have the perfect system and this is where I recommend you start using paid track traffic or scaling with ads not before I highly recommend organic first you can definitely do ads if you really believe in your offer product and honestly if you know how to do ads properly and track them by all means but organic definitely is going to be the W best way to test a group test your school Community test everything out to see how it works and where you can improve it before you scale because if you have bottleneck if you have holes in your system and then you start shoveling people into your community into your funnel into your paid product that's where you're going to start having a lot more headaches really fast and it's not going to be worth it this is a graph it's supposed to represent YouTube videos and each of those dots is you posting a video but not getting any views but if you were to replace that with action taken for whatever your business is instead of YouTube videos a lot of people will see it at the same the same way it doesn't matter if it's videos it matters your journey a lot of people start right here at that green green arrow everybody starts there and not everybody has the consistency to continue on and see where it says this is pointless most people don't even get to that point most people give up after three or four actions three or four videos three or four but some are persistent and hard-headed like myself and continue to go down until you get to the end and there's only so much you can do before you give up if you haven't had a small win but if you were to push a little bit farther you definitely could have had the explosive growth that you wouldn't even imagine could have happened you this is something you think happens over years it can happen in a matter of weeks in a matter of days I've seen it in a matter of hours from just a single tweet a single post what have you it doesn't have to be your influence it can be other people's influence that it changes your journey completely so what we did is we found a way to cut it in half where people get to to that arrow and give up it's a lot easier to to get to that point now than it is the 50 to 60 to 100 tasks that you would have had to do before so that's essentially what we did with our our YouTube group is is walking people through not only how to create content properly how to create a team around it how to automate it that way you're not on camera you're not making the videos you are just essentially helping them guide the ship you still have to guide the ship but you can hire people to guide that ship for you if you find the right experts but most people did not get to that point you still have to guide the ship until you can get to that point with that being said I created a small step by step on how to create a course 101 it's it's going to be very basic and very broad for those who don't understand how to create a course I know if you've never created one before it can seem a little daunting a little overwhelming so I'm going to break it down for you so it's very simple very easy to understand stand so you can get started on creating your content for your community right off the bat then right after that we're going to dump jump right into school and we're going to build a school community and course completely from scratch obviously I'm not going to have the content inside the course but you'll know what to do from there so with that let's jump into how to create your course this is going to be a created course 101 this is not going to be a master class on creating a course uh if you're looking for more information on how you can increase the value of your course definitely join my community modern monetization the link will be in the description and that'll walk you through more details on how you can improve the quality but for this this is just going to be a baseline so you can understand the fundamentals and the structure of how you should set up your own course if you've never created one so first of all don't overthink it you just need to start very simple okay so if if you could condense a solution into three simple steps what would it look like think of those three steps uh of of narrow things that they can do to get the fastest result possible so three steps is not necessary but it's easy to break it down into three steps obviously a lot of courses have a lot more than three steps a lot of them will have eight or 10 or 15 but in this case just start small so let's just say how to change a tire what's the first step you need to do to change a tire what do you need to do after that what do you need to do after that in each of those steps are there little micro details that I need to know about and that is essentially what you're going to be doing and structuring on how you start your course so first of all before you even create a course you need to identify the ideal outcome what are they trying to achieve if they are trying to achieve Healthy Living then maybe you need to identify what they're looking for are they trying to grow their own food are they trying to find the best organic food to buy are they trying to uh cook it um is it exercises what what are they trying what is the ideal outcome and why are they doing this are they getting organic food because they want to live healthier are they trying to lose weight uh does their family have health history and they're scared that they're going to have more health issues down the road identify their ideal outcome then create that outcome as the main focus what solution can you create that will give them that ideal outcome from the problem that they have that should be the focus and create modules based off of that each module each step you can break down into lessons it might get a little confusing saying between steps and modules and lessons but each one is essentially a breakdown of a breakdown it's just going another level of detail on what it is so outline the desired outcome and create three modules that will shortcut their problem to that desired outcome straight Bridge across break down each module each of those steps into lessons that are quick and easy to understand a lot of people believe that you need a one to two to three hour lesson per step and while some people do like the details and the intricacy most people don't have time to sit there and watch 40 50 60 hours of content if you can break it down in the shortest possible route they will like you a lot better and they'll see more value in a quick quick straight to the point than several hours of content they will see more value in that I promise you and then um like I said most don't care for a polished course but something that's fun and engaging which is great with school because you can gamify it and give them access give rewards out for people who are taking action who are commenting on the community and making posts and just it's a a lot all around more fun and engaging experience especially if you can get them to engage versus just quickly running through a course to see try to get the outcome right they they you need to make it slow paced so that they understand because the journey is not a Sprint it is a marathon and if it's not a fun time they are going to struggle to get to the end okay let's use YouTube as an example because that's that's my specialty YouTube is my expertise so YouTube process so how do you create a great YouTube Community or a great YouTube channel well first of all to make a good video you need to have the idea what is the actual concept of the video Once you understand what the concept is you need to script that video out details what what are you saying to the camera what is the voiceover saying is there a voiceover at all what's the story line what happens next screen is here exactly scri scripted out third is the title now that you know what the video is about how can you title it to get people to click on that video it needs to be enticing it needs to be SEO driven and it needs to be short and sweet a lot of people think just adding in a bunch of keywords is how you do titles that's not the case uh a lot of people Peas the algorithm the algorithm is just keyword for audience if your audience aka me or this guy or this lady if we don't like your content or if that title doesn't make sense even though it's CEO or SEO driven or keyword driven it's not going to make sense thumbnails you need to have a great thumbnail then you actually need to record the video you need to have somebody edit the video and then of course upload the video put all the stuff together and that is the YouTube process now I could break down each of these steps into detail come how do you come up with great ideas for YouTube how do you write a great script how do you make it engaging how do you drive curiosity in the script how do you do that with a title what's the point of a good title thumbnail what drives great clicks there are Specialists out there specifically for thumbnails want a great uh shortcut Netflix or Pinterest Netflix specifically SP spends millions of dollars every single month changing the images on the shows that you are advertised to see what the clickthrough rate is to improve the best possible outcome for the content that they're posting so YouTube or Netflix is is literally a master class on thumbnails if you if you didn't know that recording what's the best camera to record in how do you do lighting how do you do sound how do you how do you set up the studio how do you set everything up to record how do you actually record I'm using OBS what's the software you use editing a video how do you edit that's a lot of work editing there's a lot of steps that go to editing I'm not going to break that down but essentially what software to you use how do you uh how do you format it how do you do sound design how do you color grade how do you paste it how editing right craziness and then of course uploading a video that one doesn't really require a whole lot of self-explanation because it's very simple process but if you've never done it you might would like a quick walkthrough on how to quickly upload a video and the key things that you want to do and avoid when uploading a video because there are some things that can definitely change the outcome of a video just how you upload it now back to the course 101 how your target audience who who are you trying to reach for me it was people who want to grow on YouTube or who want to automate a YouTube channel so you need to identify your ideal customer and the demographic for their product or service so what does that mean um make sure that your product is right for the right person so if I grow a YouTube channel on how to grow YouTube content they're likely to buy a course on YouTube but if I have a a YouTube channel or if I produce content on cars and then I try to pitch them how to grow on YouTube nobody cares it it doesn't make sense if but if I made a course on cars how to buy cars how to maintain cars how to get exotic cars for cheap that is something they're going to be interested in because they're interested in cars so make sure you identify who your customer is and what they are interested in second proof of concept I kind of went over this on the last module where we were talking about make sure you can prove that what you are teaching Works whether that be through yourself through other people get some testimonials get some proof of concept try to get that first ETA for first time result how can you get them a quick win as fast as possible how long is it going to take before they notice anything if it takes them 3 to six months to notice any sort of return they're going to give up right away but if you can give them a win within the first few days first few weeks that is going to be huge and they're going to sing praises a lot better than waiting for months to see any sort of return on their investment cuz again this is about a paid Community here and then pain points are they strong enough um You probably wouldn't want to pay $110,000 to learn YouTube considering you can learn YouTube for free but is the paino strong enough right so obviously that would make sense but if I said hey I got a YouTube course for 50 bucks a month you're going to get live calls you're going to get all this information on every single aspect of YouTube 50 bucks a month cancel any time a lot people would be enticed because the pain point for them wanting to grow in YouTube to make money from YouTube to scratch that niche of them wanting to become famous or whatever some people are about that is it is the paino strong enough I have chronic back pain my pain point is very strong every day it hurts and if I can find somebody who can give me relief whether that be through exercises through eating healthy through whatever it is I'm willing to pay the price whether that be a couple hundred to a couple thousand depending on how much pain I'm in doesn't have to be physical but a lot of times physical pain emotional pain is going to be the main driving factors of somebody making a purchase nobody impulse buys a course hardly anybody does unless they got money to throw around nobody's going to impulse buy okay next again that example where I said nobody's going to pay $10,000 for YouTube course make sure you're setting your price accordingly okay there are several products on the market why should they choose you what makes you special what features and benefits set you apart from the competition if you can highlight these features and marketing campaigns and demonstrate how your offer is better or you offer a better experience for your customers that is going to make you a lot more competitive than just setting a price point because everybody else is priced at that point you never want to price yourself as the cheapest either because you're going to be overworking yourself for minimal returns it's better to be competitive pricing and then of course if you obviously know your competition very well and you know you can outprice them because the experience you offer is way better definitely do it nobody remembers who was priced the second highest but everybody knows who is priced at number one even your competitors now people are going to have objections whenever buying anything anytime you try to purchase something you have that thing that pulls you back from saying H is the value that I'm receiving worth the cost the money that I'm about to spend on this number one present the solution to the problem they have before they even know it okay so for YouTube um a lot of people didn't realize that uh tags really don't mean anything on YouTube anymore but what still does have effect on your YouTube video is when you are uploading your video file to a YouTube uh Channel or a video when you upload your video how you name your file affects the SEO and the keyword research of that actual video a lot of people don't change that and they don't realize that but they focus so much on tags which mean nothing I just gave you a solution to a problem you didn't even know you had number two explain why it makes sense to act now versus later okay if you want to jump into my course it's going to be 50 bucks right now but just so you know as soon as we get to 50 100 members or two months go by or whatever the time frame is the price is going up that will cause people to act now limited space By the way guys I'm only doing this for limited time or I only have 20 spots available if you want in jump in now that will get people to jump in now deadlines if you put a deadline on when people can actually get in before you close the the door just watch the very last day before you close the door you're going to see a lot of people opting in and purchasing it's exactly what happened with us on our our launch and I've seen it several times on several other groups communities and products I've done marketing longer than I've done YouTube I've seen it on every platform that works every single time I would avoid the countdown timers unless you legit have a countdown for what you're doing otherwise it is kind of bad marketing and I it gives it leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth so only use countdown timers if you are serious and legit about when the deadline is three provide examples of how your service or product will be implemented in detail in this course you're going to get XYZ I'm going to walk you through how to do this this this and this that's all that means you know what what what am I getting if I'm giving you my money that's what they want to know give them the details and break every objection that you can think of the best way to do this by breaking the objection is create an FAQ page something that people would ask frequently you don't have to post it but just for personal reference you can have an FAQ page that way anytime somebody has an objection you're already ready to handle it and you already know how to overcome it then comes time to promote how do you do that give some people free access Outreach whether that be through DMs whether that be through collaboration you could reach out to other influencers and say hey I've launched this new thing it's similar to your Niche and I see you don't have a product if you pitch it to your audience I will give you a cut or I'll just pay you flat out uh Affiliates when you get people inside say hey by the way guys if you promote my offer I'll give you 20 30 40% 50% commissions of anybody that signs up through your link lead magnets okay that's marketing 101 if you don't have lead magnets well I show you how to do lead magnets inside modern monetization we're not going to go through that one too much but it's it's pretty basic stuff and then bonuses okay if you are if you're promoting a product that everybody else is promoting what we'll talk about affiliate marketing in this one cuz everybody does affiliate marketing wrong if you're promoting what everybody else is promoting and you don't offer bonuses but this guy is they're obviously going to go to that guy because they're offering 10 other incentives versus you're not offering anything except for a little bit of help and here's my offer add in bonuses to your offer especially for acting now that's going to drive a lot more people into your course and Community another thing you need to keep in mind is metrics okay this is this is something that's very important so you know that you're either a growing or B um that you're not losing money if you are doing paid ads so create a system for tracking and analyzing your kpis throughout the campaign okay so conversion rate this is key for the performance indicator that measures the percentage of visitors that take a desired action on your website video your link whatever right such as making a purchase or just opting in Via their email conversion rate if you have a 10% % conversion rate that's pretty good but it all depends on what you're how many people are clicking on if you only have 100 people and that's 10% it's not that great but if you have 10,000 people and you're at 10% that's pretty insane Roi versus lcv so lcv is Lifetime customer value if you're doing um monthly uh recurring Revenue like 50 bucks a month not everybody's going to stick around Forever at $50 a month some people quit at 3 months some people quit at a year take the average amount people stick around and that is your lifetime customer value on average Roi you want to make sure you're getting an Roi so if you're paying $100 in ads to get one person um $100 a month and you're getting one person a month you're getting $50 a month but the lifetime value of a customer is only one month you're losing $50 every single month you're paying Those ads however if they stick around for three months you're you're technically losing money on that first month but then you're gaining another $50 every single month after your B basically gaining a positive Roi so that's why lifetime customer value is effective so how effective is your marketing efforts what's the lifetime value of your customers make sure you're tracking these data driven uh decisions that way you know the best course you should be taking if you need to cut this advertisement or if you should be scaling it that's these are huge me uh metrics third is your brand awareness right this is going to be measured through social media engagement which a lot of people call them Impressions website traffic of course advertisement and search engine rankings so again school does offer SEO for public groups so you can actually grow your community just from that alone it's it's pretty insane on how effective that is so getting your brand and awareness out there that alone is huge that's that's Grant cardone's main strategy is just having being louder than everybody else and getting everybody to know who he is and what he does finally is conversion okay so Alex rosi talks a lot about a lot of people want to get $10,000 a month that's the main goal for a lot of people which I get it it's an enticing number so let's let's do some math here and and and reverse engineer if you want to get to $10,000 a month you're going to need to sell1 103 products priced at $97 that's going to get you to $10,000 or if you priced at$ 3.97 you only need 25 sales or 10 sales at $997 or you can just do one sale at $997 obviously you're a $30 shy but who cares at that point right so that's essentially easy math but let's let's let's break it down even further more people are able and willing to opt in for the $97 price point than they are for the $10,000 price point by far there is going to be diminishing returns on both of these metrics on the short end and the high end right so at $97 let's just say the average click-through rate or conversion rate sorry the average conversion rate is 2 .5% you would need 4,120 people per month to see your offer at that conversion rate 4,120 people to hit $10,000 a month but if you Chang the price point to $397 and let's say the conversion rate is half now I'm not guaranteeing that your metrics are going to be the same it all depends on your vssl a lot of metrics taking place here but this is just for an example purposes 397 is going to be 1.25% which is half it's going to require 2,000 people then at $997 half of that conversion rate that's 1,600 people so you can see it's needing less and less people this is why when you see paid ads it's generally for products that cost a lot more money than $97 it's generally four to a thou 4400 you know $500 to multiple thousands of dollars that way they can get a return on their investment when they spend $3,000 on ads they only need one sale at 10K to make that money back that's why you see this this one at the bottom here 9,970 offer they only need a.6% conversion rate which is 1,600 people to get that Roi if you look at the graph on the right here conversion rate on the left and the money on the right so as we go further to the right it gets more and more expensive on the left as we go up um that is going to be how how many people are actually going to opt in so when you have a low cost product a lot more people are going to opt in and as you increase the price the amount of people that are going to opt in are going to be lower lower lower lower lower you're going to see a diminishing returns on both ends of that market so really it's best to price point somewhere in the middle if you can that's why I would say stick with the 40 to 50 bucks for your low ticket unless you want to have like a free $7 whatever as the lead Magnet or optin but definitely have a primary product as a $50 to $100 product and then also have a highend in there you want to have low ticket and high end or high ticket on both to make it easier for you and your community now with that being said let's actually right now all right and then once you create your community it's going to look essentially like this it's going to be very Bland very dry very empty so let's just walk through some of the stuff right now right here is going to be your community tab this is essentially the news feed that you're used to on Facebook right now there is only General discussion but we will add more in here later and essentially it is like this hey welcome to my community step one intro yourself step two check out classroom Etc right obviously you're going to want to do some calls to action and it will ask you to select what the um the type is but obviously we only have one type right now I'm going to post that and boom just like that I now have my first Community post next is going to be classrooms so when you don't have any yet it's going to look exactly like this you just click here to create a new classroom or a new course essentially and that's going to be each individual classroom or new each individual course next is the calendar when you do events live events on school it's going to show up on this page so once a week twice a week when however often you want to do events if you want engagement on your group I highly recommend doing events now what's cool about the calendar page is you can create events not only in person but on zoom on on Google Google meet on on different Avenues you can essentially host your events now right now school does not have its inhouse hosting yet but that is something that they are working on next is the members tab now obviously there are no members here right now you just see one member and one admin that is me cuz I am the Creator but you can invite people directly through here which is going to be your invite link now I would not recommend inviting people unless you already have a community that you're converting people over because they will get a direct invite without having to go through any question uh pay walls or any sort of paywall or questionnaire that they have to go through first leaderboards this is essentially the gamification of school so how people actually level up in your community is whenever somebody likes a post or likes a comment that is how you get points so if you are engaging in other people's posts or you're creating posts and people like them and engage on them that is how you get more points what's nice about the level system is you can grant access to specific classrooms once they H once they hit certain level thresholds that's exactly how I have my free community set up if you're doing a paid Community you'll likely want to give them access to free stuff right off the bat as soon as you have a a pay Community give them access to everything then next is the about page here this is going to be a very important page this is where everybody's going to see what your community is about if they are not a member so this is the most important page that you will want to work on once you actually get this rolling and set up now before we get even set up on this let's go to the settings tab right here so settings dashboard let's start from the very beginning here so the dashboard is essentially how many paid members you have and your monthly reoccurring Revenue this is your dashboard to see how much money you're making every month once you set up a pay wall payouts this is essentially how much money is been paid to you directly so when school pays you it doesn't go directly into your account it's going to go to your school or stripe account you do have to select uh payout in order to retrieve that money so you can retrieve that money every 5 days but it's not just automatically going to go into your bank account until you click the payout button otherwise it's all just going to be sitting in your payout account invite you we just saw this page when I was showing you the members tab but this is essentially how you can invite people you can invite people directly from their email address if you have access to that and there's zapier Integrations I'm not going to go too deep into that but you have other tools and softwares that you utilize you can use zapier as an automation to get people in especially if they're going through a funnel that you have already set up in the back end General now this is where you can actually change what your group looks like so you have an icon right here that is going to be the very top here that's going to be what most people see and the cover page this is going to be the icon that's right here this is essentially your cover page so you definitely want to make sure you have a icon a cover page and again an about page all three of these are different generally people have uh an image right here as well so these two can be the same but right here on the about page you will definitely as you can see it says videos you will want to put your vssl or your video sales letter right here basically why should people join your group essentially that is what that is back to the settings here let's go down to the general tab uh right here's the group name now you can continue to change your group name if you want however once you pick a name and you select the URL it is locked for life so right now my school Community is school.com organic-gardening change and you click that button to upgrade now or obviously this is going to show up upgrade now cuz I'm on the trial but the second you lock that in you can never change your URL again it's always going to be this URL regardless of what you change your group name to be group description okay again this is going to be right here add your group description here uh or in the settings so let me show you that group description this is all about growing your own Natural Foods how to c cook them so they taste great and how to preserve preserve them properly let's just make it a little bit cleaner clean them properly I'm not going to go too crazy into the the uh copyrighting on this but you definitely want to spend a little bit of time and get these descriptions going now colors these only really matter for when you don't have your um your icon and your cover so right now now the initials is going to be of organic and fresh and the color will be green but obviously you can change this to whatever you want uh if you don't want to upload an image which again I highly recommend putting an icon now the another one here is going to be private and public here's the main difference private the only thing people can see when they search your group yeah go ahead and uh update that the only thing people can see on your group when they search your group when it's private is they will not be able to see anything inside here this is all going to be closed off except for the about page that's why it's very important that you set up your about page with a vssl what's inside and add a a description as to what's inside and why they should join now let's go back here one more thing Public public means anybody can see your community your posts everything inside here including classrooms so if you have a public group but you don't want everybody to see all the classrooms what I highly recommend is setting up level barriers for each classroom I'll show you that here in a bit as well that way they're not getting access to the content that you want members to have access to they will be able to see Community posts and the benefit of having a public Community is it can be discovered by search engines like Google like Yahoo like all the search engines essentially are going to be able to see your posts and if you write a really good keyword SEO driven blog post essentially or post on your community they will be able to pick it up via search engine which means people can find your community on Google which is insane no other course creator cartra kajabi builderall none of that crap offers this which is insane subscriptions this is how you can actually put a pay wall behind it so right now this is free this is the current price so let's let's say we want to change this to another price now in order to add payments to your community you do have to connect your bank account to a stripe account since this is a free trial and I don't have my bank account connected I'll just go ahead and show you that inside my personal Community which essentially looks like this right now it is currently free you click on ADD price and this is what you can change it to so let's say I want this to be $30 a month now whenever somebody sees my community they have to pay $30 a month to join the current members that are there they don't have to pay that fee they are locked in at whatever it previously was but if they leave the community and try to come back then they have to pay that $30 a month and you can change this back like this make this the current price now I would not recommend going from a high price and then going down in price cuz people are going to be leaving your community like crazy but when you increase the price more and more people have the incentive to join now because they don't want to pay a higher price a monthly premium every month instead of getting in at this cheaper $25 where it eventually turns into $100 a month that's the main point of subscriptions all right next is categories so look at this this is essentially what I was talking about when you are creating a post right now it's just general discussion I would add a couple in here so this one could be announcements and you can have a small description what is going on currently okay so boom we have that let's do questions uh ask anything here oops here okay now we have questions and when you go over to your community section so right here I could only make this in general now I have options for General an ments questions if you have specific topics or specific niches that your community split into you could have your categories be changed just based off of the category from there plugins this is where you can add in more zapier Integrations you can do web hooks that way it's easier for people to join your community if you're converting them from your other community and then you can also do membership questions on and off for my free community I highly recommend or if you have a free community I highly recommend you put questions on so you can edit this turn them on and you can add different types of questions so you can do a text box multiple choice or just an email address so the question here is um how did you find us and then let's add another question let's add you can have three questions next is going to be um what is your experience yeah with organic foods another text question or maybe I could do instead of doing text let's do multiple choice let's let's see that that one so this one would be brand new know a little bit expert but looking for more save that and then let's just do one more on there let's say um how else can we reach you and this one we're going to add as an email now whenever somebody joins your community or option to join your community whether that be free or paid I believe when you have a paid Community it bypasses the questions but if it's a free community they go right into this and they're going to see this they're going to see how did you find us it's a text box that they can type in what's your experience with organic foods they will see option A B or C they can put that in and then how else can we reach you this is where they can put in their email address whenever somebody joins your community you will have a button on that let you see what the membership questions were from that person I'll show you in my personal Community here so right here in my free community you can see this person has little to no experience in generating income online what's their biggest hurdle there's his time I gave them a few examples but honestly they can put anything and then I ask do you currently have a brand or following and they say no so this is essentially how you can see what people right here this membership button you click on that and that is how you can see the questions that they were asking next another feature I would recommend you turn on regardless of it being a free or paid Community is autod DMS you definitely want to turn this on and right here you can see it already starts off hey name welcome to group name message me here if you need anything else I usually try to post them or send them to the very first pin post that way they understand what the rules are and what they should be looking for and how they can engage how they can grow on the community and how they can level up through gamification by again liking and engaging with other people's posts so definitely definitely definitely turn auto d m on that way whenever somebody joins your group they will automatically get a message from you what's cool is when you get some more mod moderators in your group you can change who it's from you can actually add uh another member that's Autos sending dmms through that way you're not getting a ton of DMS from people replying to your autod DM as long as you have a moderator that's okay with that or you can just set up a dummy account that way it's going through that instead of through your personal school account and then of course you can preview it hey Cody welcome to organic and fresh message me here if you need anything that's essentially what it will look like now you are capped at 300 characters but honestly you don't I would not send them a huge thing just give them one strong action or let them know what the rules are or expectations that way they're not uh doing anything crazy in your community next is matri metrics so what is nice is you can see how many members you totally have so it'll show the growth so right now I have none but it will eventually show you know one member two 3 four five and you'll see the chart climbing up below that is going to be active members out of all your members how many of them are active via a month via a week or via daily so that way you can see who's how out of all your members how many of them are actually active per month per week or per day that just gives you some an idea of how engaged people are so right here you can also see a little chart this is a brand new community so right now there's only been one activity which is the one post that I did it's highlighted light green so it's it's a very light activity but when you get 10 plus activities it's going to make it a solid green color which is ideal for your community gamification so by default it is just going to say level 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 but here's what you can do you can edit this so level one equals you know maybe it's a maybe you're a noob all right um next is going to be Hunter level two if you've seen uh if you've seen South Park making fun of World of Warcraft that's that's the joke on that one I'm a Hunter level two I'm a Hunter level two level three wizard right I'm obviously I'm a nerd so you you you don't have to change the levels and rename them but you can if you would like and then last is links um this is going to be anything that pops up under your community here so let me just show you what I'm talking about here links let me add in um get one onone so maybe this is a one-on-one link obviously this is my school refer referral here and then you can choose whether or not anybody can see this or public so when you have AE free public group you can let them see your links in the top right description but if you don't want them to see that keep it as private which I generally keep it as private add that in and refresh and now you can see get one-on-one although obviously that's not a one-on-one link that goes to my personal affili referral link so and billing and referrals so this is obviously um this is showing my credit card and it let you see when your trial ends so right now my trial ends and I will start getting charged on the 23rd of February every 23rd of February I will be let's do another one here how to cook and I'm going back again and one more how to preserve now obviously you don't have to set it up this way but I like to think of it as modules that people are going to go through so how to grow great this will be the first setup um at the top right here this is how you can edit what you see here so edit course how to grow course description how you can grow your own fresh organic foods oh that's not period okay who has access to this course all members so as soon as somebody joins this group I want them all to have access and then right here upload a cover image I'm not going to create a cover image but right here you can see 14x 60 um or 1460 by 752 you can change this and upload it now let's say you're not ready for people to see this one yet let's edit this one make it a draft for you as the community owner you're going to see just draft for everybody else since these are both published they're going to see both of these Community or these uh classrooms available but for the time being I don't want to make it draft I want to make it public however I only want certain members to have access so you can give people direct access virtu like you can set it manually to have access like you go to the members and give them manual access me I don't like having to manually do that over and over but if you do have a free group that you want to have paid products in that would be the best way to do this otherwise let's do members of a certain level obviously level one means they instantly get access this is how you would set it this module is going to be about is what tools should you use when it comes to gardening okay that'll be the first thing obviously you're going to need a shovel you're going to need a hoe if you want to use that you're going to need a hose there's a lot of things you're going to need when it comes to gardening I'm not a gardening expert by the way um I know a lot of people that do but it's not not my field of expertise all right so you need the right tools for the right job what are you going to need you're going to need um the right soil for the right job right you're going to need the right soil what's the best soil for the right plants another thing two is understanding your environment environment so obviously what grows in Nebraska is not going to grow the same in a more tropical place they can grow fruits and and crazy things down south where up north you're a lot more limited as what you can grow so make sure people are aware that they can't just grow anything that they want step two um this would be um let's see here at its set so we got the sources gathered what should we do next uh they're obviously going to need they're going to need to find a supplier okay so this could be finding finding seeds finding the right seeds let's call this the right seeds that'll be the first one uh let's see here we go edit this and we'll call this one getting connected with Farmers so obviously a lot of people don't know about this but farmers use manure for a lot of what they do inside or for for their fields and they usually have more than enough and they're willing to give it away for free so a lot of times you don't need to go out and buy a fertilizer you can just go to a farmer and if you're cool with them and you approach them properly they'll give it to you for free so that's something a hidden lesson a lot of people wouldn't know about right and then obviously you could add more in there and then step three is actually you know let's see let's oop click right here edit set start the process so this would be the actual starting of the process of you know starting the planting getting everything set up and ready to go let's go back to the very first one here the right tools for the right job you're going to click edit here all you have to do is Click add video and you can have a YouTube link a Vimeo link a loom Wisa or Vimeo um I guess Vimeo is on there or um bunny. net is what I meant to say now if this is a paid group I would highly recommend going a little bit further into the pay wall and adding either a loom or a Vimeo basically not YouTube because whenever you pause a YouTube video regardless of where the platform is it's going to have recommended videos pop up and you don't want that you want it to look more professional so if it's a paid group that's fine to use YouTube but if it's or sorry if it's a free group it's fine to use YouTube but if it's paid I would highly recommend going a little bit further into the quality next is setting up um description so um where to find best tools for the best price and then maybe you list it out right here uh let's start with Home Depot let's do Walmart Menards farmer Supply right there's a whole list here um I don't want to do another let's do uh other hidden places it's not really hidden but let's just say Amazon um yard sales like different things like that and you can change how these look so let's change this as a header uh this one needs to be a header as well you can make it bold you can do italics there's a lot of different things that you can change uh inside and you can also add in you know cross this out I don't know why you would want to cross that out maybe you're just trying to emphasize something you can add in links you can add in images um and you can do horizontal rules so what that is essentially let me just show you real quick close that out boom and can you can space it out essentially if you wanted to honestly I don't think it looks that great but there's a lot of different formats you can do to list things out maybe you don't want to do it this way maybe you want to do it via numbers now one through 1 through four or just regular dots that's that's my preference so honestly this don't stress on this too much um the best way to go about this like I said in the course creation walkthrough is just set up the step by steps and then in each individual module these would be each individual step or module and you can add in more emphasis down below if you have an affiliate link for like the specific tool you're talking about in Home Depot you can put your affiliate links in the description and make even more money whether that be a paid or free community now let's go ahead and save this and if you don't save it let me show you what happens if you try to edit something SSS and then let me click off over here it's going to give you an error message you have unsaved changes do you want to leave without saving you can either say yes or cancel oh I better save that click there and now you won't have that issue pop up again when you're changing screens so that's essentially the rundown of school like I said um you're definitely going to want to add an update your about page what I highly recommend you do is a video sales letter for your about page uh could be a minute could be a 5 minute don't make it too long but it's essentially why they should join your community whether it's free or not at avsl the second one you can have multiple on here so let's just do let's just do an image real quick and we'll do the logo of builderall sure I'm just I'm just an image that I have laying around so you can add multiple now let's add another image let's do clickfunnels bam right there oop and then now you have multiple so I would have a vssl your video sales letter as the very first link the second one could be just the broad same as your c u cover photo here and then the third one could be an actual overview of the classrooms that you have inside this community you can learn how to grow how to cook how to preserve how to find the best tools how to find exact like Etc just make it as much enticement as you can as an image or video and then below this is where you can add the description if you want to live a fresh organic Life Look No Further inside this community you will get access to col boom and this want to say thing one thing two thing three now let's say you have a pay wall and you want to get people enticed in right now um after let's just say after 100 members price will increase to let's say it's let's say this is just a $10 course right let's say by the way it's going to increase to $25 per month once we get to 100 members or we could do after you know let's just say after it's the 9th of February let's just say after 31 price will increase to $25 a month that is going to get more people enticed to join your community before that price increase because they get locked in at whatever price they originally join in what's nice is you can start this as a free community and then add a pay wall behind it once you start getting more and more people in and creating engagement and people will see whether this is free whether this is private and who this is by next is going to be your actual bio so let me show you this profile uh this is where you can your name once you get enough people to follow follow and like you which essentially when you create a community anybody that joins will automatically follow you you do need I believe at least 90 you do this fast enough you can likely change your URL and have a tag of just your name this is where you can change the bio your location if you want to do your Myer Briggs can I personally don't really care to have that on here but if that's something you're into definitely add it in Social Links so you can add your website you can have your Instagram Twitter Youtube LinkedIn Facebook keep in mind anybody can see this if they search you and they can view essentially your socials so if your socials are irrelevant I would not recommend posting them but if you do have more products and things that you want to sell for sure let people take a peep and membership visibility this is essentially um if you are a part of a bunch of other communities other people will see that unless you turn your membership visibility off as you can see I'm a part of a couple here um but I don't I don't want to show those on here cuz they are private that's why I have most of them turned off here so that is get a lot of Engagement you want to create a profile a page a group a community on your Instagram or a personalized account that is essentially around a specific Niche or topic you saw the bodybuilding one you saw um only fans right like you have to have a specific direction that you're showing people how they can make that change if you are interested in finding more traffic or how how
