I read this New Testament loin decades ago I can never understand it the line is the meek shall inherit the earth I thought this is plain without that line it just doesn't make sense to me meat just doesn't seem to me to be a moral virtue meek is not a good translation what it means is this those who have swords and know how to use them but keep the machine you know because everyone says well you should be harmless virtuous you shouldn't do anyone any harm you should she threw competitive you don't want to be too assertive you want to take a back seat in all of them like no there's nothing wrong there's something wrong with winning unfairly those things are you should be on you should be life isn't a game it's a series of games and the right to be the winner of the series of games and part of that means competition likely to some degree so let's say you pick a level of competition where you're always winning say you're a grand master chef players all the new play amateurs and every night you go home and congratulate yourself on what a genius you are people that brain centers like
