Hello everyone, I'm rant Italia. Today we're making a very curious video that tells the story of aper Deck against Konami, which took place in 2008 and the key to the whole story will be precisely this one, but not only that, along with other cards and a product that finally arrived from America, which I'll show later. We'll make a very long introduction. We're now in 2008. The collaboration between aper Deck, the company that had been managing the distribution of Yu-Gi-Oh cards in America for years, but not only that, even before that, it had billions of dollars in revenue from the distribution of other cards. The company that invented the so-called holographic brand on the cards. As for quality, as for quality, the distinctive quality of the originality of the cards, and the collaboration has been going on since 2002, from the moment Konami decided to rely on aper Deck in the distribution of the cards in America. A distribution that happens very quickly because the game has already existed in Japan since 1999, so it was just a translation job to do, it was a distribution job, and who better than a company that was already established in America could handle it. And this I also tell the story in much more detail in my guide if you want to buy it I'll leave you the link below a great way to support the channel and my future projects let's move forward as said Erm as said the collaborative relationships continue until one day at a chain of toy stores such as the Toys Center in America it was the Toys Ras this product is distributed the Duel King 2 so it is a very particular product because it distributes as promo cards Let's say three cards on the front with three original packs inside one TD in first edition one Glass one Sal Gratore always English obviously in first edition and a dp2 Unlimited then it is a product that yes yes Forge of the yu-gi-oh brand the wording three ultra rare cards inside this already makes you turn up your nose a little because in fact the only ultra rare thing is the dread Master while m Mr Body and the dragon Now I'll tell you the name right away because I don't remember this one here the White ornet Dragon are simply rare cards so eh What makes you turn up your nose Well it makes you turn up your nose mainly because they are cards that At first sight and even at first touch they are clearly fake cards So just to take one that is right inside the product that I purchased the card the first fact that catches the eye is the factor that the holographic stamp has entered as we all know that on the first editions and limited editions it should be gold the card to the touch is very very very similar to the original ones um However if we go to take a fake card and it is not here eh it is not here by chance Let's say that the sense of plasticization the real sense of eh poor quality more tending precisely to plastic is more evident Precisely in these cards that were distributed as promo So these cards are precisely Miss Body that we have already seen leaking from the product but more important even much more important are the Flame Wingman and Aqueos in this case always and only distributed in rare ultimate rarity I want to show them to you more closely just so you realize that the quality of the card is medium high until you eh pick it up with the you do n't really pick it up and you perceive Precisely this sensation of plasticity the card has its own economic value It is however a product whether it is recognized as fake or in quotes as distributed illegally and unauthorized, however in itself the card has its own market as does Aquan Neos and the others just for the experts who intend to make the complete set So as I said before the first thing that catches the eye is that the first edition has the silver stamp for the two Ultimates there are no substantial differences other than those already listed while for the others Now I'll show you in more detail what is curious is that the position of the eye of Anubis will be identical for all the others I'll explain myself better for example in all the m bodies let's see where it is more evident for example the dread master in all the editions will see the position of the stamp exactly in the one reported here or slightly spaced to the left and slightly lower as said before apart from for the Ultimates another very evident characteristic as regards the other fake cards are a ST print much more marked for the black color here we see exactly how marked the description of the effect is the first edition etc. compared to perhaps an original card and above all that Lolo of the eye of Anubis is obviously and also the writing yu-gi-oh is vertical with respect to the card while for all the other original versions we always find it in horizontal version so the Ultimate cards and the original cards had the stamp in silver But at least it was in the correct position as you can see very well from this shot while for the ultra rare super rare card and the other rares it will always be horizontal even here maybe even more than the Ultimates you can feel this sensation of plasticity So I'm going to show you all Which are the cards released or rather distributed illegally through these expansions since I had the chance to collect them all let's start with man side from the flame aqueos These are all fake guys water Dragon here too as Dread master is highlighted eh so the black is much more marked than the originals and also this slight slight shift towards the top will be repeated continuously For all the other water Dragon then we have maddman and electrum the White Hornet listed before the flute and Mist Body We have already seen this the dread Master and the end These are the only cards distributed precisely Now I'm going to tell you the story even better illegally through the Duel King 2 product So let's go and see in more detail this promotional product is a product that if you look in detail is very artisanal, that is, there is a white plastic card, you can see that it is not even positioned perfectly to allow for storage at the various stores and the cards are inside different sleeves, they are not all the same and are fixed to the card with a scotch tape, the product is sealed, it has never been opened. Obviously this scotch tape, just to make you understand how artisanal it was, is not the same in quality or length because here for example it stops at a small flap. Here instead maybe we have a little more and here always transparent we have a flap that reaches up to here. What does this mean, it means that they were simply packaged by hand, so there was no real printing process for this product. But they were put in the sleeves and sealed, let's call them attached to the cardboard and then closed, the sleeves instead, as the various videos on YouTube testify, they are all original and this is the very fact that there are three envelopes inside. Including two original first editions, the fact that they cannot have been weighed, etc., it is not known if they are OBI or Retail, increases the value of this product, the fact that there are these three promo cards inside brings the value closer to around €250 if in the case of having had the Wingman, the value would have shot up to over €400. These are unfortunately the sales figures. As said before, yes. Here we have the declaration of a fake, that is, that there are three ultra rare cards inside, when instead here, for example, it went well, we had one but we could also have had three rare cards or maybe two Ultimate, etc. Having said that, whoever distributed this product, well, they simply distributed the vintage Sport card. The vintage Sport card was a company that simply dealt with the distribution of cards in America, like the upper deck. What happens is that Konami, when they find out about this product, obviously sues vintage, which, however, defends itself by saying that it had in turn purchased this product from upper deck and therefore, due to a fall, Konami is suing upper deck between legal battles and... and very curious things that I'm going to tell you. in the guide it will simply happen that ehm a per Deck will lose all rights to distribute the cards in America and it will mark the end of the relationship between conami and upperdeck vintage will come out of it rightly so unknowingly eh unharmed and the relationship will end here between the two multinationals among the various among the various processes will emerge a distribution of around 500,000 eh products of this type it is not known how many were actually sold how many were withdrawn in time remains a bit of an aura of mystery that said what happens after 2008 Well Konami organizes Even if here now no one not even among the biggest collectors Now I will inform myself a little better in America What does perd rightly organize through a distribution system that either happened through the mail in the sense that the fake cards were sent the fake cards were sent to American offices and subsequently the originals were sent to the sender or through Konami staff they were distributed at events organized by Konami itself what happens what happens that exactly the same copies distributed fraudulently are distributed are given originals So the peculiarity of these cards First of all is that they are all original The second is that they are all rare so all those counterfeit copies in Ultimate ultra and super versions will not be lost, all rare and all highlighted by a unique characteristic that we will never find again, namely the letter K followed by followed by the code so tlm 035 K to highlight the Konami brand, the cards are as said before, they are all the same, highlighted by the K brand, the spells, there is a bit of mystery surrounding the two spells Miss Body and the Evoc Kribo flute because there are so few of them around that at the beginning no one even thought that F were distributed, so many still persist in saying that they do not exist when in fact there are copies on sale but obviously for crazy prices, we are in the order of $ 2000 each End of the story eh It is a set that in my opinion is worth having because it highlights what was then the reason why Apex Deck no longer appeared in any booster pack and no Yu-Gi-Oh product from that day after the various sentences etc. since around 2009 Konami has had an absolute monopoly on the distribution of Yu-Gi-Oh cards worldwide. Even because of all these legal battles, Champion Pack number 9 was not released, for example, when it was announced, it was being distributed or was in any case expected. There are also those who say that in the last periods of upperdeck's domination, meetings were organized in which some copies of promo cards from shw and Jump were distributed illegally. The problem is that we are certain that events were organized in 62 locations in the United States during the trials and at all these events, cards were distributed, so there is further evidence that highlights how many unofficial copies of these cards were distributed in America.
