Allah Subhanahu wa taala says, innamal mukminuna ikhwah akwa wattaqulaha laallakum turhamun. This means that truly believers are brothers. Therefore, make peace between your two brothers who are at odds and fear Allah so that you may receive mercy. Quran surah Alhujurat verse 49 verse 10. The parable of the brotherhood of fellow believers is like a building that strengthens each other. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "Indeed, believers are like one building to another, some of which strengthen others. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam joined the fingers of his hands." Hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Musa radhiallahu anhu. That is the importance of brotherhood. You certainly remember how the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and the Muslims struggled to migrate to Medina. In this chapter we will learn the story of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam building the city of Medina by building the Prophet's Mosque, establishing brotherhood and fostering harmony. The first step that Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam took when he arrived in Medina was to build a mosque. The mosque is known as the Prophet's Mosque. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam chose the place where his camel first stopped when he arrived in Medina as the location of the mosque. The land was originally a place for drying dates belonging to two orphans, Suhail and Sahel bin Nafi bin Umar bin Salabah. Both of them were raised by As'ad bin Zarorah. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam bought the land. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ordered to cut down several date palm trees that grew on the land. Also ordered the removal of several old graves to build a mosque. The foundation is made of hard stones. The walls are made of bricks made from earth. The pillars consist of several date palm stems. The roof is made of date palm leaves. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam and his companions worked together to build a mosque. One time he saw someone lifting two large stones. He encouraged him by saying, "You will get two rewards." The companions sang inspiring verses to encourage them to work hard to build the mosque until it was finished. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam built a mosque not just as a place of prayer. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam built the mosque as a center for Muslim activities. The Nabawi Mosque is used as a place for deliberation to resolve the problems of the people. The mosque is also used as a training ground for national defense and treatment for Muslims. The porch of the Prophet's Mosque also serves as a shelter for the children. Ahal asufah is a group of poor people who do not have a place to live. It was in this mosque that Muslims were trained and educated by Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Beside the mosque, a house was also built for the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. The building materials are also very simple. This house originally only had one room for the Prophet's wife , namely Saudah. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam just moved into his house after 7 months living in Abu Ayyub al-Ansari's house. Children, people who move house certainly have their reasons. In your opinion, what are the reasons why people move house? Yes, supplies for the trip, luggage, clothes, and so on. People who move house also need to prepare themselves. Prepare yourself to meet new people and environments. People who migrated from Mecca to Medina were called Muhajirin. They were willing to leave their families, wealth, and comfort in Mecca. They were willing to emigrate to Medina by bringing faith in Allah Subhanahu wa Taala and the Messenger of Allah. Being happy to help others in need is commendable behavior. This attitude is shown by the Ansar. Ansar means helper. The Ansar were residents of Medina. Consisting of the Aus and Hasraj tribes who helped the Muhajirin. Children, brotherhood among Muslims has actually existed since Mecca. However, due to the new situation in Medina , the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam established ukhuwah or brotherhood between the Muhajirin and Ansar. Why is this brotherhood important? This brotherhood is important so that basic necessities are available for new arrivals, the muhajirin who do not bring wealth. The expertise of the people of Mecca was trading which required capital. Even though the emigrants did not bring any wealth. Meanwhile in Medina, the population is more engaged in gardening and farming. Apart from that, Muhajirin only came alone or with a small family to Medina. They may feel lonely in a new area. The weather in Medina is also different from Mecca. In winter it is very cold, in summer it is very hot. With brotherhood, the problems faced by the Muhajirin can be resolved temporarily. Moreover, the Ansar opened their hearts and hands to help the Muhajirin completely. The brotherhood that was established and the help of the Ansar did not make the Muhajirin sit idly by and be lazy. The Muhajirin continue to strive to meet their daily living needs. Children, during the time of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam in the city of Medina there were also residents of various ethnicities and religions. The Aus and Hazraj tribes embraced Islam. The Quraizah, Nadir, and Kainuka tribes are Jews. In this city there are also polytheists. Diversity and differences can give rise to disputes. Have you ever had a disagreement with a friend? How can you two do activities together again? Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam felt the need to create harmony between the diverse population of Medina. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam made an agreement between the Muslims, Muhajirin and Ansar with the Jews as residents of Medina. The contents of this agreement later became known as the Medina Charter. The Medina Charter contains the recognition of Muslims as a community, both fellow Muslims and those of different religions, who have the same goals. The diverse population of Medina has the same rights and obligations . Abuse must be avoided or even eliminated. The law must be enforced without distinction of ethnicity and religion. Children, our country is a country of diverse ethnicities, languages, and religions. Even though we are different, we still have the same goal, namely a safe and peaceful Indonesia. We are obliged to keep our country safe and live side by side in peace. Indonesia has a motto: Bineka Tunggal Ika. This means that even though we are different, we are still one. Our country also has Pancasila as the basis of the state. The first principle, Belief in the One Almighty God, shows that our nation is a nation that believes in God even though it consists of various religions. That's the lesson in this chapter. Let us close with prayer. Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika ashadu alla ilahailla anta astagfiruka wa atubu ilaika. Glory be to you, O Allah, all praise to you. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I ask for forgiveness and repent. I mean
