And young people they they worked at Marist College. And they asked me, are you Republican or conservative or or a Democrat? Are you conservative or a liberal? I said I'm a political atheist. And I started to explain to them what the deal was. And we got a freak show in front of everybody's eyes. Yep. Newly released Reuters poll found that two out of three Americans believe that Trump never explained why the country went to war with Iran. And a majority see the war as a calamity. What do you mean? He told us why he was going to war. Don't you remember your Trends Journal cover? Only put the facts in there. Here's what he said. He said, "Hey, uh uh it's my opinion that they, Iran, were going to to to to attack us first. So, he attacked them. As we said, "Shove your opinion up your ass. You don't start wars based on opinion." This is the This is the crap going on. And now, another day, just more more coming out. Yep. It's your economic update. Well, the facts are there. Trump's now saying that um you know, that uh remember he's going to stop the war in uh four or five weeks. Now, it's going on for 74 days. 74 days. He was going to stop the war. Yep. And this is hitting the entire globe. On March 9th, Trump said, "If Iran doesn't If Iran does anything that stops the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they'll be hit by the United States of America 20 times harder than they've hit been hit so far." And he said, "There's nothing left. The war is very complete. Nothing left in a military sense. No sense." Now, again, that was back then. And now, as we go to press today, Brent crude $108.13 a barrel. Last week, when Trump was selling the ceasefire was down below $100 a barrel. They're doing everything they can to artificially prop up this market. You name it, they're doing it. Yep. As we note in this week's Trends Journal, oil prices ups and downs will crimp global trade. War's economic damage to worsen. Asia faces a plastics shortage due to a world on war. This thing is global. It's global. And today, you know, as we saw the inflation numbers came in higher than expected, and inflation is outpacing wages. So, when you look at real spending, it's a lot lower. And when Trump was asked today about the um effects of the high spending, again, the billionaire said, quote, "I don't think about America's financial situations. I don't think about anybody. I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon." >> level death con five. >> Total Trump It was never about a nuclear weapon. We put all the facts in your Trends Journal. You had that little jerk off over there playing Secretary of State uh Marco Rubio. And uh when the war started, two days after the war started, he spewed out that they Iran were getting ready to attack Israel. They were going to attack others. He went on to say we knew that they were going to be an Israeli action. We knew that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn't preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties. The spewing out of that little clown boy's mouth. And now they're selling the That was a nuclear war. No, it wasn't. And all the data shows they weren't making nuclear bombs. AND REMEMBER THE TRUMP HEY, HEY, WE OBLITERATED THEM IN JUNE. REMEMBER LAST YEAR? This is serious. The damage it's doing to the global economy is unprecedented. Two slimeballs, Netanyahu and Trump, doing this to the entire world, and it goes back to the cover of your Trends Journal. Look at this. Two people, two people that they call our public servants that are destroying the entire global economy. Yep. My opinion that Iran was going to attack America. Total lie. Total lie, total lie, illegal war. So, this is serious what's going on economically. And again, it's it's that he gets away with this crap. Are you ready? You know what their major story was as they're slaughtering people all over Lebanon, all over Gaza. What to wear instead of sneakers while traveling. All right, that was front right up there. What are you, 6 years old? You're selling this Oh, the virus, the new virus. Don't forget about that. Again, this is serious what's going on. Heading to China. This is Trump's latest crap. US will quote finish the job against Iran. Peacefully or otherwise. How many times have we heard this stuff? Oh, remember we won the war? Oh, you forgot that? Oh, yeah, you said that um I don't know where he said that. He said that um Iran's being beat to hell. Um You never like to say too early you won, we won. That was March 11th. And now, what is this? March, April, May 12th. He gets away with this. He gets away with this crap. And there's there's no outrage going on to stop this. Yep. So, today the Dow is down, or up a little bit. The Nasdaq and S&P closed lower because of the fear that the war might go on. And again, all the data is showing that the equity markets, there's no relationship between Wall Street and Main Street, as we keep saying. So, we're giving you everything that we can. And again, Trump goes on to say again today that about the people Again, his quote, I don't I don't think about America's financial situations, right? How about when he was running for How about the February 10th of this year? We have the greatest economy actually ever in history. >> Oh, come on now. That ain't even >> It's Trump February 24th, the roaring economy is roaring like never before. Oh, that was 4 days before he launched the Iran war. And last December, our country is back stronger than ever before. We're poised for an economic boom, the likes of which the world has never seen. And he gets away with this crap. Yep. When he's running for office, we'll have to make the American dream will be back with us. Yep. And you know what I'm talking about because everybody in this room has been devastated by what they've done. They have no idea Sorry about the last one. Yep. I will rapidly drive down prices. I will rapidly drive prices down, and we will make America affordable again. Vote Trump, your incomes will soar. Your savings will grow. Young people will be able to afford a home. And we'll bring back the American dream bigger. We're going to bring it back bigger, better, and stronger than ever. That's when he was running for office back in August of 2024. One after another, one after another. Within 1 year, you're going to have electric bills and energy bills and your gasoline for your cars is going to be 50% cheaper than right now. Hey, hey, cats are it's almost 50% more. Yeah. That's right. Diesel prices are up almost 60%. When you put the average numbers like almost 50% the gasoline. This is serious. This war is not going to end. It's only going to escalate. So, we see gold prices, you know, they're hanging around the $4,717 an ounce mark. But, you know, we're still very bullish on it. And you're looking at countries like India telling people not to buy gold. Countries selling gold because the debt levels are escalating. It's the number one safe haven asset. Silver's back up again over 80 almost $87 now an ounce. It was way down there in the $70 range. Again, precious metals are precious in a time like this. Bitcoin's traveling back up into the 80,000 $5600 an ounce uh uh mark. And it's still showing strength. We're bullish on it. We have been for over a decade. And of course, the Trump team in it, we're still very bullish on it. And we see it going up. And mostly you tomorrow, I do Salante and the judge and some of your articles in your Trends Journal that are very important. Consumer sentiment sinks to another record. Yep. US economy only added modest jobs in April and lousy paying ones. US household debt reaches a record. It's heading toward the $20 or hey, so it's going to be what am I going to do with the right? Yep. What else? Spotlight on the Iran war supercharges shift to clean energy. Again, it's an entrepreneur opportunity. Like it, don't want it. Wish it, hate it, it's what is. Do what you want, but we believe there's going to be heavy investment in this as well as still in the defense contractors. Because this war is going to keep ramping up. Big time. And and their rupees are like hitting an all-time low. And we're talking now, this was the fifth largest economy in the world. Now it's the sixth because of this damage. And this is the biggest population on the planet. So you got to look at this stuff and see the dangers of what's really heading around there.
