We're talking 20 to $40,000 of value. >> I think it's a >> Welcome to Unpacked. Today's guest is Steve Aoki. So, you guys may know him as a worldrenowned DJ, but he is actually a legendary card collector. First up, Steve's going to shop for five different items to unpack. Then we'll rip through every card and try to pull a few hits. And finally, we'll head into the vault to try our luck at pulling a $1 million card from some of the most expensive packs in the entire store. See, before we start shopping, what are you hunting for? >> The holy grail to me, the greatest athlete that's is playing right now is Shi Otani to go rookie hunting for Shoi Otani. >> Okay, >> if I can do that, it's game over. >> I'm I'm getting excited thinking about showani hunting. >> What would you do if you pull in Otani? >> I want to cake you. I want to k me. DON'T CAKE YOU. LET'S DO IT. >> Let's go. >> We are in the TCG section. I know you love Pokemon. >> I feel electric right now. Like I'm like buzzing. It's a different energy. It's like this enthusiasm. It's a child in you. We're here surrounded by all these beautiful Pokemon boxes. >> What's your number one favorite Pokémon card you own? >> I think many people that know about my collection already know that the holy grail of my collection is the to me the holy grail of all Pokémon is the illustrator. >> So, is there anything you're feeling today? There's a lot of new modern I'm not too familiar with. One thing I'm really familiar with is 151. >> Okay. >> So, I like 151 because it has a lot of the vintage Pokémon and that's I what I really collect is vintage Pokemon. >> Love it. >> So, I say we go for the Scarlet V51 Blooming Waters Premium Collection display. >> Wow. >> It's a pretty set right here, man. See, the thing is is that like I got introduced to Pokemon obviously through the video games. I wasn't too obsessed with the video games as much as as Pokémon Go. It was perfect for me because I'm literally traveling the world. You know, I do over 200 shows a year around the world. So, I was very excited to get the ones that you can only get in certain countries. Mr. Mime, I remember how like you could only get them in Spain. >> That's crazy. >> And so, right when I landed in Spain, I was just like telling the drivers to pull over when we were going to a show. >> Oh, Shelder. Pikachu. >> Pika pika. Let's go. Pika pika. We got it. >> Yo, that's that's amazing. >> To me, that's equally as cool as getting a Charizard. >> So, I've heard you're a huge UFC fan. >> It all stems from my obsession with Bruce Lee as a kid. Bruce is one of the only Asians in pop culture growing up that was loved by the world. >> True. >> Not just by Asians. And that that was always an inspiration point for me growing up. What he's known for is fighting. >> Yeah. >> And so I just grew up like wanting to be like him. And when UFC started getting more and more popular in like the early 2010s, I was obsessed. So I went in heavy on UFC cards. So 2020 I I got introduced into UFC cards, right? 2021 first year of Prism. That to me is the best set of UFC of all time. >> Okay. >> So, I bought cases and cases and I became obsessed with this one fighter and he's still my favorite right now. Hamzach Hamzach is my guy. >> Beast. >> Yeah. Like I follow him. Like I'm a massive fan of of him. So I had to get his rookie. I like I go for the 101s, you know, and that 101 is still missing. So, I'm still buying the UFC hobby prison boxes, searching and hoping one day I will pull a 101 of the black Hamsachima rookie card. >> They might be that day. Keith, what do we have? >> We might have it in this box. >> We got Oh my god, >> look at this. >> 2021 Prism. >> I bought cases and cases of this looking for that that black 101, but I do own a few black 101's from the set. I don't want to be braggadocious, but I have to say I got to be top five UFC card collections in the world. >> I believe it. >> First year of Prism 2021. This got me into to really searching for to me the holy grail of Hamza Shimay cars is the 101 black prism of his rookie year. And and I've I've ripped six like six cases of this over the years. over the years >> and still it's not out there. It's not out there. >> No one has gotten it. >> It's never surfaced. >> Let's go. Let's go. Let's rip this >> Here we go. >> Come on. >> All right. Come on. Come on. Even a gold comes out any gold. Connor. Connor. That's funny. Last pack back to back was Max. This time it's Connor. So big con Morab rookie. >> Nice. >> Morab rookie here. Oh, wait. Hold on. Is this is this Allar over? Oh, gold to 10. >> Oh, wow. >> It's not the gold I wanted, but still. We got a gold. >> It's a hit. I'm curious. If you didn't do music, what do you think you would have done? >> I wouldn't be a fighter, that's for sure. I'm a horrible fighter, so wouldn't definitely would not be that. >> I think we have another autograph here. >> Really? >> Oh, we have we have a patch. patch. I think autograph. >> Yeah, Zang way autograph. >> I like that. It's like a different autograph. It's got like the or the Chinese characters. >> Yeah. >> So, a base Z autograph. >> We have to do some World Cup material. >> Don't get me started. >> We have to >> We got right here 2026 World Cup Prism. It's an amazing product. Number one popular product in our store bar none. >> Mangas. Mangas. So, One Piece got mangas. Prism got mangas. I actually pulled the Neymar manga. >> No, you did not. >> I did. I did. I was at Carbo 47 and we pulled it on stream out of my first box I ripped. So, this this one we have to do. Uh, pulling a manga. Oh, ripping this product already. I know what's in here. I know the feel. I know I know like I know I know Prism. I love music. Got to do this one. There's a couple different hits right here. So, we have two different inserts. Prismanian ultra ego and then the color blast, which I love. I I love color blast. I was a big kaboom kaboom color blast collector. And the mangoes is like the new insert everyone for >> kind of run through these. This is my good friend Tibo Corttois. >> Beast. >> Yeah. He we've thrown cakes together. We did a jersey swap. He gave me a jersey that he like an actual >> gameworn jersey. That's crazy. Oh, we got our first auto. Okay. >> Oh, let's go. >> Landon Donovan, >> legend >> team USA, baby. >> Okay. Oh, this is a nice parallel. Hannibel Measbury number to 94. Nice. >> So, we're still in the sports section. Let me know kind of what else you want to get or you're looking at. >> I love all the football. Well, you know, the OG football soccer, but >> I love F1. I think this is the first thing that speaks to me at that $300 range. >> So, early tops chrome hobby box. >> What year? >> 2021. >> It's a good year. 2020. I bought like a 100 Sapphire boxes. I opened one box out of the 100 that I have. one pulled the George Russell 101 >> and that was one of the biggest missing chases left in that set of the 101 ones because the the Max Versstappen got pulled. The Lewis Hamilton got pulled. There's a few other you know key drivers that got pulled but the George Russell never got pulled and that was big. So I got it. I pulled it out of one box. >> That's insane. >> One box. There's like five packs in a box. Pulled it. I'm like holy Like and I I called my friend Shine who knows everything about cards. He's like, "This is this is like the last biggest chase out of out of Sapphire." >> I wanted to ask you, what's one collectible you haven't been able to get your hands on? >> There's a lot. There's a lot. Uh I'm I'm on the hunt on a couple of them with F1 since we're opening F1. Um F1 2021. I mean, I don't know if the Cenotto 101 got pulled, but that would be a nice pull. It's his rookie year. Um, he's become a recent friend. Nice ventil. And then we have a number Charles. >> What about your favorite card that you've ever pulled from a pack? >> Just recently, me and my wife opened Pokemon Evolutions box. That is one of my favorite.
