Your afternoon stiffness, that shows up out of nowhere. That soreness that lingers in your muscles after a workout for days. Your hands and feet that always seem cold. Most people write these off as just getting older or maybe having an off day, but almost all of it can be traced back to two things that may be happening inside your body. How well your blood is flowing and how your body is handling inflammation. This is a device that can address both of these things at the same time. Near-infrared light improved blood flow by 27%. The improvement increased to 54% 20 minutes later. Chronic inflammation is one of the root causes of many of the diseases of aging. Red light therapy also helps to lower inflammation. People using light therapy before exercise, they were able to complete five and a half more repetitions of exercise compared to people who didn't receive the light therapy. Light itself has powerful biological healing effects on the human body. Every tissue in your body depends on blood flow. It's how oxygen and nutrients get delivered to you, your organs and all of your cells. And importantly, your blood flow also carries away waste products from your organs. When your circulation is working well, your muscles perform better, you recover faster, your skin and your organs, including your heart and your brain, well, they're going to actually get what they need. When blood flow is not great, everything downstream feels the pain. And that's where red and near-infrared light comes in. Researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin began studying light therapy in the lab and they made some really important discoveries I want to share with you. They looked at mice with diabetes. Now, diabetes actually can affect blood vessels just like it does in people with diabetes and these mice had blood vessels that had lost the ability to relax and widen properly. So, their blood flow was compromised just like it happens in people who have diabetes. And what the researchers found in this lab study is that red and near-infrared light could restore healthier blood flow. Quite amazing. So, let me tell you how this works. The mechanism is that red and near-infrared light triggered the blood vessel lining, the endothelial lining is what they call it, to release something called nitric Now, this is a molecule, nitric oxide or NO, that naturally makes blood vessels relax and improves blood flow and it lowers your blood pressure. And when researchers tested human blood vessel cells using the same light in the lab, they also saw the same nitric oxide release that they found in the mouse studies. Now, why is this important? Well, think of your blood vessels like a highway. When they're relaxed and they're open, traffic moves freely and oxygen and nutrients can get to wherever they need to go as quickly as they need to get there. When blood vessels are constricted, traffic slows down, right? And things will start to back up. So, the question is whether red near-infrared light improves circulation in animals, whether that holds up in humans. Well, the answer is yes. Let me tell you how we know this. A research team at Hebrew University of Jerusalem studied 20 healthy adults in a randomized controlled study. 10 men and 10 women, average age of 30. None of them had diabetes. The researchers exposed the skin over their wrist to either red light or near-infrared light for just 5 minutes. And then they measured the effect in three different ways. They used a blood volume sensor, a laser Doppler flow sensor, and thermal imaging. And what they found was that near-infrared light improved blood flow in the small blood vessels of the subjects by 27%. In fact, the improvement increased to 54% 20 minutes later. Now, the effect was in this experiment specific to near infrared light. Regular red light didn't have the same effect. And half the subjects, 10 out of 20 people, responded strongly, meaning their skin temperature rose by at least half a degree Celsius. That temperature rises because you got better blood flow, but that doesn't mean that the other half had zero effect. In fact, they did have effects, and this is what we see in real life, individualized biological responses. We're all different, and that's exactly what you'd expect. Now, turns out that skin temperature is important for achieving the effect in the study of improved blood flow. The people who responded started out with a middling range of temperature, so let's call it normal. They were not running especially hot, meaning they didn't have really dilated blood vessels, and they weren't especially cold, which constricts blood vessels to begin with. So, ordinary people with regular skin temperature and blood flow actually had benefits from this. This is the kind of light therapy that is exactly what the best Qual Pro 300 device is for, to help improve circulation as a way to improve your health and wellness. This channel is exactly where I break down the real science behind health, real mechanisms, real studies, and real results. Okay, red light therapy also helps to lower inflammation. And as we know, chronic inflammation is one of the root causes of many of the diseases of aging. And anything that can tamp down inflammation is going to be beneficial to your health. So, how do we know red light therapy works for inflammation? This was studied by researchers at Novidade Julio University at Sao Paulo, Brazil. They did a meta-analysis of 13 randomized trials of light therapy and exercise. And the trials used a whole range of red and near infrared wavelengths, sometimes lasers, sometimes LED panels. And what they found was that people using light therapy before exercise, well, those people who had the priming, they could push 4 seconds longer before they were exhausted. And they were able to complete 5 and 1/2 more repetitions of exercise compared to people who didn't receive the light therapy. And another group of researchers from Taipei Medical University did another meta-analysis looking at athletes. They looked at 24 different human studies and found that the benefit from light therapy was found from a different angle. Red light therapy resulted in less muscle soreness. And importantly, from a biomarker perspective, red light therapy lowered the levels of creatine kinase in the blood. Now, this is a marker, creatine kinase or sometimes called CK, of muscle damage. So, the lower the levels, the better your muscles actually are, the healthier muscles. And it turned out that the light therapy led to faster strength recovery as well. Now, here's an interesting detail. The strongest and most consistent results came from using light therapy before exercise, not just after. So, this isn't just something you apply later. So, if recovery is your main goal, what you want to do is think about applying red light therapy ahead of time. Think about it as priming your body, not just for the cool down. Another interesting fact, light therapy has benefits even after surgery. Again, researchers at Novant Health University in Brazil studied patients who had hip replacement surgery, right? See, these are older people. And the researchers gave them a combination of red and near infrared light sometime between 8 and 12 hours after the procedure. And then what they did, they measured inflammatory markers in their blood. The study involved 18 patients, nine of whom got real light therapy and nine who were treated with a placebo device. So, a device that gave light, but it wasn't really red light. And everyone received just one, a single treatment in that 8 to 12-hour window after surgery. And what the results showed? They showed that those people, after hip surgery, within 8 to 12 hours, who were a single application of light therapy, had significantly lower levels of two markers of inflammation in the blood. That's TNF alpha, tumor necrosis factor alpha, and interleukin 8. And if you follow markers of inflammation, you know exactly what I'm talking about. They These are very important keystone markers for inflammation. The light therapy produces, but the placebo did not. Another thing for this study is that pain scores, which are important after surgery, were also significantly lower as well. When you lower inflammation and you lower pain, your quality of life improves and this helps to speed up recovery as well. Now, in that study that I just mentioned, the light technology used was delivered by a laser. So, it's more powerful than you can actually get using a home device. But the point is, and this is something that I really want to emphasize, light itself has powerful biological healing effects on the human body. So, let's get specific about this device, the Bestqool Pro 300 itself, and how to use it. For a long time, red light therapy had a lot of buzz. And honestly, I was kind of a skeptic. But the research I just told you about changed my mind and it made me go from being a skeptic to an advocate, actually quite enthusiastic, because I started to be convinced that this is something that I should start using for myself. What's kept me using it consistently is that it's super easy to integrate into my busy schedule. Some mornings, I'll sit in front of it for 10 minutes while I'm checking my email. Another days, I'll use it for about 10 minutes before going to bed or maybe even reading a book. Either way, I always come out of it with something else I'm doing, so it's really super easy to integrate red light therapy into my ordinary everyday schedule. Here's the thing, not every panel is built the same way. So, the details are worth knowing about. Let me break it down for you. Red light, including light that's 630 and 660 nanometers in wavelength, acts at the skin's surface. Near infrared, which you can't actually visibly see, includes 850 and 940 nanometers in wavelength. That kind of light can travel deeper into your muscle and your joints. And a device like the Bestqool Pro 300 gives you all four wavelengths that I just mentioned to you. So, it covers skin and deeper tissues in one single session. Now, the other thing I want to share with you is that I always check two things for any device that I use on myself. First is independent lab testing results. And second, I look for confirmation that the device meets manufacturing safety standards. And the Bestqool Pro 300 measures 106 mW per square centimeter at about 3 inches away from you, and that's right in the range used in the studies that I've been telling you about, those clinical studies. So, if you want to check out the Pro 300 for yourself, there's a link and my discount code below. So, here are some of the practical aspects of using red light therapy with this device that's helpful to know about. Distance. How far do you put it away from you? Well, most of the studies place the distance 6 to 12 inches away from your body. Duration. Most sessions are about 10 to 20 minutes long, that's what I do, for exposure. Frequency. How often do you do it? Well, three to five times a week is what's been used consistently across the clinical research that shows results. And consistency, well, this is a big one. Like a lot of things in health and wellness, you don't get the full benefit from some just doing a one-and-done session. Most of the studies show measurable changes in inflammation and improvements in circulation after about four to eight weeks of consistent use. So, keep in mind, light therapy is something to apply consistently for best results. One more very important note, when you're using red light therapy near your face, protect your eyes. Regular sunglasses aren't going to cut it. They're not designed for this kind of light. You want to use the eye protection that comes with your device. This is actually a pair of green glasses. Really cool looking, too. And you don't need to touch the panel. You simply sit or stand a short distance away and let the light reach your skin to do its job. That hands-off quality is exactly why it's easy for me to fold it into my daily routine. So, let's loop back to where we started. A lot of what might make you feel off could be due to issues with your circulation and with inflammation that's lurking in your body. And there's real growing human evidence that red and near-infrared light can both lower inflammation and support better circulation. It's a tool that if you use it consistently can augment all the efforts that you're already doing to improve and support your health. Your blood delivers oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, brain, heart, skin, and organs while carrying away waste. Research discussed by Dr. Li found that near-infrared light can stimulate the endothelial lining of blood vessels to release nitric oxide—a molecule that helps blood vessels relax and improves circulation. In a randomized controlled human study, just five minutes of near-infrared light increased blood flow in small blood vessels by 27%. Twenty minutes later, the improvement reached 54%. 💪 Red Light Therapy, Inflammation & Recovery: Research has also investigated red and near-infrared light for exercise performance and muscle recovery. Studies discussed in this video found that light therapy was associated with: ✔️ More exercise repetitions ✔️ Delayed exhaustion ✔️ Less muscle soreness ✔️ Lower creatine kinase, a marker of muscle damage ✔️ Faster strength recovery ✔️ Lower inflammatory markers in certain clinical settings Interestingly, some of the strongest exercise-related results occurred when light therapy was used BEFORE exercise rather than only afterward. ⚡ The Bestqool Pro300: The Bestqool Pro300 combines four wavelengths: 🔴 630nm + 660nm red light for more superficial tissues 🔴 850nm + 940nm near-infrared light that can penetrate deeper into muscles and joints Dr. Li typically incorporates approximately 10 minutes into his routine while checking email, reading, or winding down before bed. Research protocols vary, but studies discussed in the video commonly used sessions around 10–20 minutes, 3–5 times per week, with consistent use being important.
