71-year-old farmer Aditya Tyagi from Meharbani village in Saharanpur has proven that with the right vision, even cow dung can become a source of earning lakhs. After retiring from the post of Forest Ranger, he started raising indigenous cows. But he didn't get the expected profit just by selling milk. After this, he decided to make better use of indigenous cow dung and started the work of making Sambrani cups, that is, incense cups. Today, the products made by him are being sold across the country through both online and offline channels. I started making them from May. Online sales started from then itself, but I hadn't supplied to the local market yet . The demand is from all over India and there are more orders on Amazon. Compared to Flipkart. It is just the beginning of the month. Even then, about 80 to 90 are going out. They are reaching our customers. About seven to eight people have joined us. What is the problem that arises? I mean, sometimes a training center in Matki calls me over. I taught them how to make products from cow dung there as well. So after that, the people there —the boys, the ladies who came, and the men too—They asked, "Where will we sell them?" The problem of marketing arises. I told them that you don't need to worry about selling. Whatever you make, I will take it all. I will handle it myself. So several people, about three or four, have joined us. Now, regarding the manufacturing material, because I don't trust others on what they might mix into it. I provide them with the ready-mixed material, and they make it at their homes. I have given them machines. They make them at home, dry them, and bring them to me. I pay them per piece. Cow dung. I have raised my own indigenous cows. That is why there are very few indigenous cows left now. I have raised them on my farm. I prepare my own cow dung powder. I mix the required ingredients into that powder and give it to them to make the cups. This cow dung. My cow dung is now worth about ₹ 300-400 per kilo, consider that. Our cow dung sells for over ₹ 300-400. Whereas in the village, cow dung has no value. Aditya Tyagi has prepared Sambrani cups by mixing natural ingredients like Guggul and Loban into indigenous cow dung. They are used to provide fragrance in homes and to make the atmosphere aromatic. He says that most Sambrani cups available in the market are made of charcoal. Which release carbon dioxide when burned. These cups made from native cow dung have been developed as an eco-friendly alternative. Their goal is not just to do business, but to provide pure and natural products to people. The demand for this in the market is very high. Why is the black cup coming into the market? That is coal. People burn it at home for purification. Burning coal causes pollution. Cow dung releases oxygen when it burns. That is why people have become aware of cow dung. There is a lot of demand for cow dung Sambrani cups. He explained that it takes about 10 grams of native cow dung to make one Sambrani cup. Whereas the cost of one cup is about ₹ 10. At this rate, the value of the dung becomes more than ₹ 400 per kilo. Their products sell for about ₹ 90 wholesale and nearly ₹ 220 online. Orders are coming in from all over the country on various online platforms including Amazon. While the highest demand is coming from South India. This year, they have prepared 20,000 Sambrani cups. Out of which, 7,000 to 8,000 cups have been sold within a single month. It contains cow dung. Guggul, Loban, and something no one else adds because it is very expensive. Sugandh Kokila is added. That herb is not found here. It grows in Nepal. I have worked in the Forest Department, so I have some knowledge about it. We add Sugandh Kokila. It takes a lot of time to prepare. It is done step by step. Like, after making it from dung, it is dried in the shade for two to three days. Then it is dried in the sun for one day . After that, it is stored. Then it is filled. Even after filling, it has to be dried for at least one day if there is good sun, otherwise two days. After that, it is packed. If you do it right, meaning if you add the right ingredients and don't use chemicals, the cost will be higher. The cost is between 5 and 6 rupees. Aditya Tyagi says that today he is earning more from this business than the salary he used to get in his job. He has also provided employment to five to seven people. He believes that if native cow dung is used in a scientific and professional manner, it can earn many times more than milk. His innovation is becoming an inspiration for those who do not consider raising native cows profitable. Today, his model sends the message that cow dung, often considered useless and thrown away, can become a million-rupee business with the right mindset and hard work. I am retired from the forest department and I am 71 years old right now. You know how it is, one shouldn't just sit idle. People say that one has retired, so they are retired. My take is: retired but not tired. I am not tired, and there is one benefit to being busy with work now. I stay busy. I have no worries. My health is also fine. Otherwise, if I had just stayed home doing nothing, I would have been admitted to a hospital. If you liked this video, then please do like it.
