hello there welcome to the axe class the person of the holy spirit and his gifts this is class number nine the gifts of the holy spirit part one i am so glad to be able to share this again with you uh these next few classes are just so exciting because it's just going lying upon mine upon these gifts of the holy spirit that the father has given to the church in order to let the church know who he is it reveals his nature his character his ability it just reveals god to us and so let's pray father we come before you today in the precious precious and wonderful name of jesus and again lord we will never stop asking we will never stop praying that you would give unto us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you that we might know you better that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened that they would be flooded with light that we might know what is the hope of your calling what are the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of power toward us who believe according to the working of your mighty power that you wrought in christ when you raised you from the dead and set him at the right hand of the father in the heavenly places so lord we just thank you for today we thank you for your word and we receive it now with gladness in jesus name all right so don't get excited just stay calm because i'm already excited enough for both of us anyway i know there's going to be a lot of information and i'm going to say this again somewhere at the right place hopefully um but these are the gifts of the holy spirit there is volumes upon volumes for decades and decades i don't think centuries and centuries that have been written you know about the holy spirit and so there's a lot of information the test is open book again so don't get nervous and don't get worried um you'll have what you need don't try write every word down you know it's just a lot of anything you can just write down maybe a scripture reference don't you don't have to write down the whole thing or um three key words from the scripture you know something that tells you a little bit about it that we're just gonna have peace and let peace have a way all right so i'd like to start with an interesting bible pattern there is a law of perfection written throughout the bible and i've heard it called even other names but we'll go with this the law of perfection this perfection is in the word of god because god created it and it's like part of his signature which is really cool the bible says that a three-fold chord is not easily broken ecclesiastes 4 12. the number three means complete these threefold chords are seen in and i'm going to make a list now so these three both chords the first one is the threefold nature of the trinity the father the son and the holy spirit first john 5 7. says that there are three that bear record in heaven the father the word who is jesus and the holy ghost and these three are one number two the threefold nature of man spirit soul and body you get any idea the third one the threefold nature of the soul the mind the will and the emotions this is confirmed in first thessalonians 5 23 and the very god of peace sanctify you holy hallelujah and i pray god your whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless until the coming of our lord jesus christ number four the threefold nature of the gifts of the holy spirit these are not in your notes this is just a freebie that i wanted to give to you so number four the threefold nature of the gifts of the holy spirit number five the gifts are three primary groupings of three meaning there are three revelation gifts three power gifts and three inspiration or vocal gifts number six there are three revelation gifts which god reveals to man which are things that he could not know through his senses number seven there are three power gifts where god imparts supernatural powers and abilities which the natural man does not possess number eight there are three vocal gifts which bring god's anointing and blessing to the body or to the church lastly number nine paul teaches that these vocal gifts are to do three things edify exhort and comfort the church and that's first corinthians 14 3. so we see that three the number three uh of god is god's completeness it represents god's completeness but it raises the bar of the importance of the work of the holy spirit and there are many more examples jesus would use this triple pattern for emphasis when he said verily verily verily or truly truly truly as this emphasize the truth holy holy holy these are all giving an importance when you see this in the word of god it gives an importance to the message so let's begin today's lesson now the baptism of the holy spirit is the doorway to the gifts and we've spoken about this every time you pray in tongues you are praying by the supernatural power of the holy spirit it is not dependent upon what you feel or know it operates by faith and faith is not based upon our feelings the baptism of the holy spirit is not just an experience to talk about it's about the power of god to build the church as the church we are called to be witnesses to his kingdom proclaiming god's message of salvation through christ and demonstrating the power of the gospel through works of the holy spirit so that others may be brought to live under god's reign every believer has access to these supernatural gifts of the holy spirit we cannot be ignorant of the gifts the result of ignorance is no faith which produces unbelief we know that jesus himself came to earth as man and met the needs of mankind by the power of the holy spirit we are called to do the same works we have made reference to these greater works but let's read the scripture john 14 verse 12. that believes on me the works that i do will he do also and greater works than these shall he do because i go to the father the ministry that jesus performed on this earth was directed guided and energized by the holy spirit the same holy spirit that lives in you and in me think on this we are one with him he lives in us we truly belong to him and he is ours his thoughts even can become our thoughts we have the mind of christ so as the church we're called to be witnesses to his kingdom proclaiming god's message of salvation through christ and demonstrating the power of the gospel through these greater works so that others may come to live thoroughly convinced about the testimony of christ to accomplish this and our own strength and ability would take forever can you imagine trying to accomplish the great commission in our own ability we wouldn't even know what's where to go what what to do what to say because none of us have that kind of wisdom or ability we don't have the power and most importantly we don't have the power to resist the devil on our own the holy spirit doesn't just want to be present to be you know right there next to us in a church service he wants to manifest himself in our church services and to the body of christ and one way he manifests himself is through his spiritual gifts which have been designed by god to operate in every man no one is excluded praise god so i want to read to you uh first corinthians chapter 1 verses 4 through 9 and this is in the english standard version normally i read from the king james version especially regarding the gifts but this was just a little bit easier this passage so i'm going to read it to you from there i give thanks to my god always for you and he's talking about the corinthian church because of the grace of god that was given you in christ jesus that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and knowledge boy right there is that a load even as the testimony about christ was confirmed among you so that you are not lacking in any gift as you wait for the revealing of our lord jesus christ who will sustain you to the end guiltless in the day of our lord jesus christ god is faithful by whom you were called into the fellowship of his son jesus christ our lord so why did paul thank god for the grace of god paul said that the grace of god had been liberally poured out on the church in corinth and that the gifts of the holy spirit were an outward expression an outward evidence or visible manifestation of the grace of god of the grace of god in the greek one of the new testament words for grace is keras the historical meaning of charis meaning that's what they believed in that day refers to a special power conferred upon an individual or group of individuals by the gods little g this special power conferred upon them super human abilities which they believe would transform their personalities and import impart supernatural abilities to them things that they could not normally or naturally do most christians have only one definition of understanding which is translated favor meaning grace equals favor and i think that's probably the one that we know best as well because a person who receives charis has been supernaturally enabled as a result of receiving a manifested manifestation of favor not of little g's but of god and so that would be the difference from the world because remember they had a lot of idolatry they served gods of all kinds from anything to everything and so narrowing it down to the church it now becomes that it's a manifestation of favor from our god from the true god and this is paul's definition in his writings he was referring to god how he graciously imparts a special touch that enables empowers and strengthens the believer grace is a divine touch or gift or endowment that transforms an individual and gives him the ability to do what he could not do before on his own so what happens to a person when grace touches him grace enables empowers and strengthens grace enhances their personalities and gives them supernatural abilities grace is always accompanied by some type of outward evidence or demonstration grace is not silent or invisible grace always produces an inward change by the working of the holy spirit when we're born again and become a new creature in christ then grace becomes an outward change remember we're saved by grace through faith so when grace comes we receive the ability to produce an outward change that work that outward change is produced by the holy spirit now in the case of the corinthians believers when god's grace touched them it became visible through the many supernatural manifestations and gifts of the holy spirit that operated in their midst the good news is that every believer has been touched by this grace or favor every believer in jesus we are all saved by grace through faith amen we should all be expecting his grace to visibly be showing up in many areas in our own lives we all should be right now grace will empower you to have victory over sin it will enable you to control your tongue through the power of the holy spirit in you and it will transform you as it influences changes and your create in your behavior as we read in first corinthians 1 4-9 the paul clear the apostle paul clearly taught that one byproduct of this divine impartation of grace is the overflowing operation of the gifts of the holy spirit in the life of the believer or the church and in verse 5 the corinthian church paul said that the church was enriched with gifts and paul wrote of utterance now he's mentioning two gifts here of utterance of speech which are considered the vocal gifts tongues interpretation of tongues and prophecy also by the gifts of revelation he said these two gifts categories of gifts were in operation in their midst and by these by the moving and the operation of these gifts the corinthian church was enriched so that's what's going to happen whenever you um flow in the gifts of the holy spirit your life the life of the church will be enriched the word of knowledge so these are the gifts of revelation the word of knowledge the word of wisdom and the discerning of spirits so we see that these two categories specifically flourished in the corinthian church they flourished the corinthians had been enriched when they first came to christ just as we do we become joint heirs with jesus and inheritors of the promises of god but by remaining in jesus they were constantly being made richer in demonstration of god's manifested power as the gifts of the spirit operated mightily among them enriched meant lavishly endowed with spiritual riches that it was impossible to calculate the extent of it they had become familiar with the power of the holy spirit's manifested presence through these spiritual gifts that had been deposited in them by the grace of god these spiritual gifts were outward evidences and visible manifestations proving that the grace of god had been liberally poured out on them and that the power of god was operating in their midst god is not a respecter of persons when his grace comes upon a believer it literally spills over into all types of outward manifestations of the holy spirit's power which includes his spiritual gifts so before we discuss the nine gifts of the spirit let's read from first corinthians 12 4 through seven now there are diversities of gifts but the same spirit and there are differences of administrations but the same lord and there are diversities of operations but it is the same god which works all in all but the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to with all the manifestations and operations of the holy spirit have a variety of ways by which they are manifested and delivered in the body but the end result is always the same everyone is to profit from the gifts now these nine gifts are always for our benefit and because they originate from the spirit of god we know that they are good and perfect gifts because they come from above that's found in james 1 17. the gifts are given for the body individually and corporately in my personal opinion just my opinion not bible we should always be seeking the giver of the gifts many times people get caught up seeking a person that they know oh they gave they know how to get prophecy i'm gonna go and you know tell them my problem and hopefully you know god will speak to them so that he can speak to me but we really should be seeking the giver we should be seeking jesus and asking jesus because you see when we ask the lord what is it he wants us to do or asking him to meet our needs we're giving him honor we're giving honor to the holy spirit because it's the holy spirit that's going to bring it back to us and so as we look to to him then we honor him if we look to man we're honoring man and will short circuit we will short circuit the power of god back to us many times so the revelation gifts are found in first corinthians 12 8 which again are the word of wisdom the word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits so what did these revelations do i just wanted to make sure that i didn't skip a skip a page all right so what do these revelation gifts do well they primarily reveal that is the purpose of the revelation gifts they reveal so let's look at the first one the first one listed in first corinthians 12 8 is the word of wisdom the second one the word of knowledge the third one the discerning of spirits so guess what if we can make it through that's exactly the course that we're taking now but the first one is the word of wisdom all right in the greek word that the word of the word in this context really refers to a fragment of wisdom or a peace literally just a word the word wisdom refers to special insight that is not naturally obtained and you're going to hear me say some of these things over and over because we have to get it into our heads and actually fight the things that we have learned through religion so the word of wisdom actually describes a gift that operates at the moment in the moment when a fragment of special insight is supernaturally revealed to someone about a specific situation a great new testament example is found in acts 27. the apostle paul was on a ship remember and he was on this ship with others that was headed directly for disaster while the crew struggled to control the ship paul had a dream in the night which he was told fear not paul for you must be brought to caesar and god has given you all that said with you and god has given you all that said with you so all these men all the ship and everything um that were with him god has given him this word and said you have got to go to caesar so you have got to make this landing that ship has got to make this landing and that's acts 27 24. so this information was not a full answer regarding his situation but it was a word from heaven that gave him direction and insight into the future for his situation for the ship that night and they were not going to be overtaken in the storm he had to go to caesar that's all he knew i have to go to caesar and if i have to go to caesar whether that ship is taken up and over all the rocks and all the you know the storm that ship was gonna make it because that's what god said and so this was enough information to hold him through the storm and what would happen to him on the other side which was insight into god's future plan and purpose for paul god gives his word of wisdom our word of knowledge to us through the power of the holy spirit who is within us the word of wisdom is the revealing of the future under the anointing of god it's from god's mind to man for the carrying out of his plan purpose and will with a word of wisdom there is no lasting deposit of wisdom it is manifested as a word for that situation this is not the wisdom that is available to all believers like in james 1 5 and promised for everyday living if any man lack wisdom let him ask of god who gives to all men liberally and doesn't take back this wisdom is received by asking here in james 1 5. the gift of the holy spirit although you can ask for you know the lord for the for the gift to operate through you that'll meet the need as you pray for someone um that's totally fine but you can't say lord just you know pray for the word of wisdom well what if the word of wisdom wasn't the right one then you would have prayed amiss all right so bible wisdom is for our daily affairs it is different than the word of wisdom because it is prophetic in nature so james 5 is not prophetic the word of wisdom is prophetic the word of wisdom is a revelation of god's wisdom for the future so these are the three revelation gifts in the old testament every seer and prophet who foretold the future was endowed with this gift meaning it rested upon them the spirit was said to come upon old testament believers for god's purposes joshua was filled with the spirit and commissioned to lead israel after moses death off neil was empowered by the spirit to judge god's people and lead them in war at times the holy spirit empowered god's people helping them to go beyond their own abilities the spirit of the lord came mightily upon samson in one instance with the help of the holy spirit samson tore a lion apart another time samson took vengeance on the philistines ropes that bound him snapped like burnt flax all the gifts of the spirit are not limited exclusively to the fivefold ministry gifts again these are gifts to all the believers and we see holy spirit at work in the old testament yet these gifts will increase in the new testament the old testament prophets saw into the future as the spirit revealed it to them and also we notice that the holy spirit is revealing he he he will reveal to every believer but there are certain of the fivefold ministry that because of their position in the body of christ we'll find that the revelation gifts will flow particularly in those particular ministries which are the prophet and which are the apostles but that doesn't mean that they are absolutely going to because they're still by the holy spirit they're still given by the holy spirit all right so in the old testament genesis 6 12 and 13 god saw how corrupt the earth had become for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways verse 13. so god said to noah i am going to put an end to all people for the earth is filled with violence because of them i am surely going to destroy both them and the earth so noah received what was in god's mind for the future he waited over 100 years now this is not called the gift of wisdom it is only a word of wisdom it is a peace or a fragment again it is not the wisdom for the affairs of life james 5 that god promises uh to all who ask him i'm sorry james 1 5 nor is it solomon's wisdom again the word of wisdom is a word a piece a fragment from god from god's mind regarding his plan his will and his purposes for the future again the word of wisdom always speaks points to the future as a body we are to desire that these gifts be made manifest among us and we are to leave it up to the holy spirit to use us however he wills and to use the gifts through us however he wills and he will not use everyone in the same way the same manner the same techniques the same words he doesn't do it so how someone you know one person will be used and we read that there are difference of administrations there are difference their diversity of gifts there's diversities of operations but it's the same god it's the same god now just personally the gifts that have operated in my life all seemed very natural at the time and in the way that they came to me and then even moving through me it was they seemed very very natural had i not had teaching i would never have known that it was had been or was the gift of the holy spirit a gifting of the holy spirit um and these gifts came through an inward voice they came through dreams by me just stepping out in faith laying hands on someone the gift was manifested and as i was drawn by the love of god toward someone i just knew i just had the you know i was just drawn to them and as i began to speak to them god was speaking and i did i just i didn't realize it and most of the time they did not seem um the gifts didn't seem spectacular at all mostly a feeling of surprise i think which does not make the gifts any less real or supernatural you have to learn how the holy spirit will work with you and how he's going to manifest through you and so i appreciate the gifts i appreciate that they are not all just a cookie cutter and the bible says that we're to desire them earnestly and pray that they be manifested in the body of christ even more than ever in these last days that are coming even more we need these so this generation as in all generations need the gifts and the manifestations of the holy spirit each gift has its place one cannot take the place of another the old testament prophets prophesied regarding their present which is the word of knowledge but they also prophesied about things to come in the future which is the word of wisdom these gifts are in particular usually operate through the gift of prophecy the difference between the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom is the word of knowledge is a revelation of a fact that exists past or present but the word of knowledge is a revelation of the future again the difference between the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom is that the word of knowledge is a revelation of a fact that exists on the present or the past and the word of wisdom is of the future the word of wisdom is the future the word of knowledge is the past or the present the present or the past daniel received a word of wisdom when he said there would be a persian empire a grecian empire a roman empire at that time these empires had not been born or thought of in man's mind the word of wisdom usually works through the ministry of the prophet as that gift speaks to the future but just because because i call it a gift does it mean that it's that uh it's not the gift of wisdom it's the word of wisdom the word of wisdom is a gift so the simple vocal gift of prophecy does not include predicting or foreseeing and we'll talk about that later the word of wisdom can come through a vision or a dream for example joseph had dreams which god revealed his future and these situations think of a vehicle with a passenger in it prophecy is the vehicle and the gift is the passenger prophecy is the vehicle and the gift is the passenger so prophecy is the way that the word of wisdom is going to be delivered the passenger the gift the word of wisdom is going to come to us is through that vehicle of prophecy so let's give some examples and again let me say don't get nervous this is going to be a lot of examples a lot of information that comes from bible study years and years of bible study and then some experience which took scholars and teachers and historians years to put together so i'm not trying to overwhelm you because i just want you to see the perfect ways of god i want you to see his heart in meeting our needs so many of the references are on the outline some are not just sit back relax let's just listen to these examples so that you'll see how big god is and plus for time's sake i gotta keep moving very quickly all right moses received the revelation of the law that was given to him by an audible voice as god gave him the law the law concerned god's purpose for israel therefore this was the word of wisdom in demonstration in acts why was it because it was the future it was showing god's uh law of his purpose for israel in acts 9 11 the word of wisdom revealed to ananias the plan and purpose of god and then the word of knowledge revealed specific facts to ananias it was god's plan for ananias to go and meet up with saul the word of knowledge revealed the exact fact as to where to go even to the name of the street to go to and the person in the house to who he was to speak to god spoke to ananias the word of wisdom when he told him that paul was a chosen vessel to bear the name of jesus to the gentiles kings and to israel and that's found in acts 9 15. i love that verse it was a revelation of paul's future philip operated in both the word of wisdom and knowledge in acts 8 26 when an angel appeared to him with a message from the lord the angel told him where to go specifically down to the desert it was a word for the future after he obeyed and went to the desert he saw an ethiopian eunuch then a word of knowledge came by the voice of the holy spirit go and join yourself to him in verse 29 and that was a present word that was the word of knowledge that way it let him know that god had sent him there for that purpose at that time so that this ethiopian eunuch could be ministered to so prophetic words can come in parts in pieces and notice after he obeyed after he went to the desert that's when more of the pieces came together noah was given a word of wisdom to build the ark to save his household genesis 6 13-18 he supernaturally received a word regarding the coming flood and god said to noah the end of all flesh is come before me for the earth is filled with violence through them and behold i will destroy them with the earth so noah knew for a hundred and twenty years that god would destroy the earth he received a word of what god was going to do and this was called a word of wisdom this was called a word of wisdom now daniel had great visions he saw empires leap into existence and named their very natures that they would have lions bears leopards beasts he saw into the future and what's the future wisdom the word of wisdom ezekiel saw into the future he said that from the north there would come an army against the country that had villages with no walls in ezekiel's day there was no such thing as an unwalled village they did not exist the towns needed walls for protection against wild animals and enemies he foretold of the threat to israel from the country which became known as russia david revealed through the psalms how the messiah would come and how he would die it was a revelation for the future psalms 2 and psalms 22 joel prophesied that in the last days god's spirit would be poured out upon all flesh he was revealing the future isaiah wrote chapter 53 which described the nature of the messiah as well he described the way he would die what kind of person he would be and what his death would mean to us he wrote by his stripes we are healed in isaiah's day stripes were not a definition of a form of punishment in other words in his day if you use the word stripes that did not mean punishment as it later became this was a word of god's wisdom in matthew 24 luke 21 and mark 13 jesus foretold the destruction of the temple in jerusalem which came a few years later and the signs that would accompany his return to the church to earth for the church again god's wisdom is a revelation of the future agabus in acts 11 28 prophesied and foretold a drought and a famine was coming the people began immediately to make and sin preparations in order to help the saints that lived in those areas paul being allowed to present his case before caesar was forewarned in by an angel in acts 27 10. we just talked about that that a storm would bring much damage to his voyage a word for the future the captain and the crew had they listened to paul they would have been spared the loss of the ship and all their goods backing up to acts 23 paul almost lost his life at the hands of an angry jewish mob when he when it looked like he would die at the hands of over 40 men because they had vowed not to eat or drink anything until paul died the lord stood by paul and gave him a word of wisdom and said be of good cheer paul for as you have testified of me in jerusalem so you must bear witness of me in rome or at rome acts 23 verse 11. paul had no way of knowing that he would ever speak for god in rome but the future was revealed to him some words of wisdom were conditional and didn't come to pass as it would depend upon the person's response and obedience second corinthians i'm sorry second kings 20 verse 1 king hezekiah was told to set his house in order for he was to die but hezekiah but hezekiah turned his face to the wall repented prayed to god and before isaiah could even leave the courtyard the lord gave isaiah another word for him to return back to king hezekiah and let him know that god had heard his cry and that he would be given 15 more years the goodness of god the goodness of god second kings 20 verses 5 and 6 go back and tell hezekiah the ruler of my people this is what the lord the god of your father david says i have heard your prayers and seen your tears i will heal you on the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the lord i will add 15 years to your life and i will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of assyria i will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant david what a wonderful god what a wonderful god every detail every step of the way he helps us he is there the character of god the nature of god we can learn so much now jonah was given a word of wisdom that nineveh was going to be destroyed if the people didn't repent and turn to god a word for the future jonah 3 4 and we see in the book of name this conclusion nineveh eventually repented and were spared to joseph it was through the interpreting of a dream that spoke of his future when joseph was only 17 years old a teenager showed him his life that he would be a leader and his own brothers would bow before him no one believed it but it came to pass any time a person receives a great word you can count on it that they will also go through a great trial and that that word comes to them for the purpose of being strength bringing and giving strength to them through the storms of life daniel received wisdom by a night vision ezekiel was caught away into the spirit and received a revelation the apostle paul was caught up in the spirit on the lord's day and the entire book of revelation flashed before him god does not use one set way of dealing with these revelation gifts or addressing the problems of the world he unveils hidden mysteries and his wisdom to execute his commands but it is always in the way he sees best we are to desire his gifts we can't tell him how to manifest them nor should we tell him how to manifest the gifts for whatever reason if we stay in line with his word the gifts will always be a great blessing to all now we're going to look at the word of knowledge the most important factor to understand the word of knowledge is that it is just a word or piece of supernatural revelation by the holy spirit of certain facts from the mind of god just as we saw that a word of wisdom describes wisdom that naturally is not cannot be obtained the word of knowledge likewise refers to a fragment of special knowledge that one supernaturally receives god knows all and holy spirit searches the mind of god to reveal it to us but he does not reveal all the plan at one time he gives us a word or part of what the plan is it's just a fragment it is not natural knowledge and it's not a natural gifting the word knowledge is related to fact something that is fact is not a mystery the word of knowledge deals with facts which exist whether it be in the past or the present notice that this gift is not called the word of knowledge it is not called i'm sorry notice that this gift is called the word of knowledge it is not the gift of knowledge this is the ability to supernaturally know facts and details that would not be known in the natural the word of knowledge is given to the believer by the holy spirit it will often make you aware of god's intimate personal involvement in the facts and details of a specific situation so that god's purpose can be fulfilled in a person's life so as we walk with god our knowledge of him increases but this is still not a spiritual manifestation of the word of knowledge it doesn't come through study it doesn't come by revelation from what you've studied because it's not learned knowledge again the word of knowledge is a word or a piece of supernatural revelation by the holy spirit of certain facts in the mind of god it deals with the past and the present of the three gifts of revelation the word of wisdom is considered by most to be the best gift because it brings supernatural revelation of the plan and purpose of god for the future and we always seem to be about the future the bible says to seek earnestly the best gifts first corinthians 12 31 whatever is most appropriate at the moment meeting the need that is the best that is the one that is needed revelation 1 10-20 jesus appeared to john in a vision about the seven churches in asia minor jesus revealed their spiritual condition john was on the isle of patmos and he had no natural way of knowing what was going on in the church this was a supernatural revealing from the holy spirit it was not a natural means of information acts 9 10 the lord spoke to ananias a layman in a vision he was to go to a certain street a certain street called straight he was very specific and exact and he was to find saul who would be praying at the time ananias saw in his vision that he was to lay his hands upon saul that he might receive his sight this was a certain fact it was in the mind of god released to ananias to accomplish god's plan and god's purpose in first samuel 10 verse 2 saul was out looking for his father's donkeys that had either strayed or was stolen someone told him to go to samuel the prophet and in verse 2 the donkeys saul is told in verse 2 the donkeys which you went to find are found and your father has left looking for the donkeys and is now sorrowing for you if samuel knew everything that would make him
