He is the Holy Spirit. It's recovering. He's getting up . The palace begins. The wind of the Holy Spirit blows here and comes with power. Holy generation, rise up here. The Lord fulfills His will. The wind of the Holy Spirit blows here and comes with power. Holy generation, rise up here. The Lord fulfills His will. hallelujah. Lord, please make your will happen to us . Lord, reveal Your glory through us . hallelujah. He came because He loved. Jesus, who set an example as He spoke, how much pain He must be in. He came to Calvary, that cross, because He loved. Jesus, who came as He spoke, how much pain He must be in. One cannot reach Calvary Hill without the shedding that began. The Lord, who had no reason to receive, obeyed; He struck that cross . Father, may your will be done for us . Today, before all two o'clock, how painful the time has been since the beginning, Suwon, will fulfill that cross without fail. The Lord, who has no reason, obeyed. He bore that cross. Our Hallelujah. amen. I welcome and bless each and every one of you who have come to this precious worship service today in the name of the Lord. Shall we exchange loving greetings like this with the pastor in front of us? You have truly come to this precious worship service. yes . You have truly come to this precious worship service . yes. great. Ah, let's read the passage I mentioned together. It is the essence and purpose of our worship. Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: “ Love your neighbor as yourself.” Ah, everyone, when we worship, I hope we do not suggest God's grace . Because I am in this state right now, because I am in this situation, because I have these pains and worries, or because I feel nothing at all, I will only do this much. If you have reacted to this extent, you have done a lot. I wish you wouldn’t suggest God’s grace like that. As you said, I hope this becomes an worship service where we approach God before the Lord with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind. If I do not have such a longing within me, I desire this to be a time when the Lord restores me; please work, Lord, so that this may be a time of the grace of restoration where You pour out Your love like water and fill me . God, please work through me so that my receiving grace, standing up, and recovering do not cease and end there, but rather that through worship, we may fully stand as a channel of the Gospel, bringing life and recovery to every place in our lives . With this expectation, this hope, and this longing, I will go forward in prayer, proclaiming this to your hearts . Let us pray together. Thank you, living Father God. God, we come before You with hearts longing and yearning for Your grace . God, I do not want this to be a time to which we offer only a part of our heart , a part of our time, a part of our life , or a part of our will . I pray that this may be a time when, before the voice of the Lord who always extends us an invitation of love, we may offer up our confession of love to our Lord God with all our heart, mind, strength, and devotion . We desire to come before God the Father completely by faith, in the most beautiful and fitting form, in the most appropriate form, in accordance with our original purpose of creation . We remember that when we praise the Lord, we feel alive, and when we praise the Lord, we can enjoy the true life of God the Father . I pray that worship may become a place where we experience God’s living presence, and that in this sweltering summer, I will not be consumed by feelings of exhaustion, of constantly stumbling, and of losing strength. Lord, please guide me so that this may be a time when I can fully offer up my confession of faith to God with all my heart and will toward Him. God, I earnestly hope that today, when You invite us, we may respond with faith to Your voice . Please guide us so that this worship may become the beginning of us fully responding with faith to God’s calling and guidance, desiring to grant the work of God’s life throughout the week, rather than ending with just my own restoration and enjoyment of His love. I want to believe in the love of God the Lord. God, work so that we may be filled with the Holy Spirit, and may You work in all of us with Your amazing grace so that intimate fellowship with You, the Lord, may be offered as a temple through this worship . We entrust all these words completely to our Lord and pray in the name of our precious Savior Jesus Christ. amen. Let us all rise together and confess our faith with the Apostles' Creed. I believe in God the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth . I believe in His only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; he suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he comes to judge the living. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life. amen. O Holy Spirit, lead us to Jesus; Jesus, lead us to the Father; Father, lead us to Jesus; Jesus, lead us to the Holy Spirit. O Holy Spirit, O Holy Spirit, lead us to Jesus; Jesus, lead us to our Father; Father, lead us to Jesus; Jesus, lead us to the Holy Spirit . Lead me to that intimate love. Let us confess that soul together from the very beginning of this time . O Holy Spirit, O Holy Spirit, lead us to Jesus. Jesus, lead us to the Father. Father, lead us to Jesus. Jesus, today, O Holy Spirit, O Holy Spirit, lead us to Jesus. Jesus, lead us to our Father. Father, lead us to Jesus. Jesus, lead us to the Holy Spirit . Guide me to that intimate love. May that eternal merchant also be. Guide us. May you lead us with love . My dear, I hope we can spend some time together, confessing and moving forward. Guide us. May you pray. Guide me to that intimate love. I will confess to the Lord with that spiritual poem and with my voice. Guide us. May it be. Lead me to that intimate love. Let's confess together just one more time. I will confess with my voice. Guide us. Guide me . Guide me to that intimate love. To that eternal friendship. Loving Father God, at this time, we hope to set our hearts and minds in order and come before You . Please help us not to simply come and go from this place, but to stand before You, holding fast to You and seeking You even more as we come toward You . Please accept all our worship and praise, pour out your overflowing grace upon us, and receive all the glory alone, Lord. We have prayed all these things in the name of the living Jesus . amen. I hope that as we continue to praise, we will clap together with excited hearts, calling out to the Lord alone, Jesus alone, and confessing only Jesus as we move forward. amen. If I bow down before the Lord, the Lord's flowers will appear in that garden. When I make a request within, I lay down all worries and humbly draw everything. Only Jesus the Lord is the neighbor of my life, only Jesus the Lord is the name of Jesus, only Jesus the Lord is the reason for my life, only Jesus the Lord is the reason for my life. Let us praise Him with our hearts. Always and everywhere, the Lord is always within me with deep grace. Lord, who has no peace, is with us forever like the stars. Only Jesus, only Jesus, the Lord is the reason for my life. Let us confess together, Lord. Only Jesus, only Jesus, the Lord alone is the reason for my life. Only Jesus, the Lord alone is my neighbor. The Lord is the way, the Lord is the truth, and the life. I will live by faith alone. The life around me, once again to the Lord. The Lord is the way, the truth, and the life. I will live by faith alone. I will live only by the Lord. Let us pass our scarves and confess. The Lord's way, truth, and life. I will live by faith alone, live only in the Lord. Finally, the Lord is the way and truth. The one with the life will live by faith alone, live only in the Lord. It is only Jesus, the Lord. Let us confess once more, only Jesus, only Jesus, for the last time. Only Jesus, only the Lord Jesus is the reason to live. Only the Lord Jesus is the reason for my life. We will confess and acknowledge Jesus, and give glory to the Lord outside of us . amen. amen. We will continue to praise. We are the Lord's moving church. This is a place for the Lord. I look forward to the one who has been worshipped by God on every land where I pray . Let us praise one more time. We are the Lord's moving church. This is a place for the Lord. On every land where I pray, I proclaim myself, the one who has received God's worship . I will build the Lord's temple with my song; be exalted. The Lord who testified to Israel's praise is holy. Lift up your hands to make the Lord's throne and worship me. Come upon me as you came with flying wings . We are the Lord's moving church. This is a place for the Lord. I look forward to the one who will receive God's worship on every land where I pray . With my song, with my song, please accept the Lord's temple . The Lord who testified to Israel's praise is holy. I will build the Lord's throne and worship Me. Come to me as you came between the wings of the flock . May you receive the blessings of truth in the Lord's temple through my song, through my song. The Lord who has exalted the praises of Israel, I will make a holy cap and worship Him in all that I bear. Just as He came between my wings, I hope He will continue to praise me throughout our time. God, God, we stand here, so please grant us freedom . God, give us where we are . May the Lord be holy. Baramachura. Eternal partner, Lord Jesus, and God, we are here, God, we are here, heal this land of Seongni. Amen. God, wherever we are, exalt the Lord; Lord, who will heal, let us mature. Match your strength to the bara. Eternal Notice Lord Jesus Christ, and we are the Lord's moving church. This is a place for the Lord. I look forward to the one who has been worshipped by God on every land where I pray . amen. As we continue to move forward in praise, this is our training hymn. Since it is our first time singing it, some of you may feel a bit awkward, but I hope that as you meditate on the lyrics, we can praise together gracefully . We will continue to praise. The power of the precious blood is within me. The love of the cross, newly swept by the Holy Spirit of the Lord who did not let go of my hand even in the midst of fire, overflows; I believe. The Savior Jesus is a failure. You won. I believe. Jesus is the one who saves . You won. Make me a self of complete obedience. Even my every step is under the Lord's will. My King and Lord, who are my song and my confession, I praise You forever. I believe. I believe that the Savior Jesus is a failure. He has triumphed, Savior Jesus. I failed, but He is victorious. I believe. Let us continue to confess. I believe, Savior. I have no choice. He has triumphed. I am salvation, Jesus. I failed, but He has triumphed. Let us praise Him together. When I call, You do not turn away; when I call, You do not give up; when I call, You do not let me go. I believe in You, I believe only in You. When I call, You do not turn away; when I call, You do not give up; when I call, You do not let me go. Let us continue to praise the Lord. When the Lord calls, He turns away when the Lord calls; when the Lord calls, blessings are taken; when the Lord calls, it is the poem of Nerchi. Let us praise the Lord one last time. When calling the Lord, when calling the Lord, he shouts; when calling the Lord, he looks; and even when calling the Lord, he praises. I'm in the state. I have only the Lord. Lord, the Savior's Lord, failure is victory. Salvation, I, Jesus, failure is victory. I believe. I believe. The Savior Jesus is a failure. You won. I shine. Savior Jesus, it is sad . Let us confess our lyrics with our voices at this time . I believe that salvation and Jesus are failures. You won. I believe. Jesus the Savior has never failed. Let's confess with our voices one more time. I believe. Savior Jesus is failure, He has triumphed. I am the Savior's pure failure, He has triumphed. Are you looking forward to the time when we will meet the Lord at the retreat? Or do you think it is enough to just go without any expectations or thoughts, receive grace, and come back ? Or do you think that since you will receive grace then, you can just live your own life for now and repent and receive it when the time comes, and that will work out for you ? From now on, we must long for the Lord and bow down before Him. If we go there without seeking the Lord here, without having an expectant heart, and without repenting of our sins, it will be very difficult for us to change. To those who come here with a heart of expectation and repent of their sins before the Lord, the Lord will pour out His overflowing grace. As we pray before the Lord at this time, let us momentarily set aside other thoughts, the problems of our lives, and the things that tempt us, and instead lift our hearts solely to the Lord. If there are any of you who do not fully understand what it means to lift your heart to the Lord, I hope that we all become people who simply bow down before Him and earnestly hold onto Him, asking Him to grant us a heart of expectation, a heart of repentance in this place, the courage to do so, and the grace to continue seeking Him . I hope that at this time, we will open our lips together and confess before the Lord . Let us cry out to the Lord together and pray together. Lord, I repent before You at this time. Lord, I entrust the time to You, Lord. Lord, I do not wish to simply sit here and sleep; rather, I wish to truly repent according to my nature. Lord, please pour out upon me a heart of expectation and a heart that clings to You, so that I may come before You. Lord, if it is still difficult for me to have such a heart, please grant me the courage to think that way and to pray. Lord, please pray for us at this time and be with us. At this time, we cling to You and cry out to You. Lord, please be with me at this time . We will continue to pray. Everyone, please take your seats and pray. 습니다. God, thank you for guiding our Wake youth to gather in one place and worship joyfully on this precious Sunday . We have come to this place after living intensely in our respective places over the past week . If I have lived forgetting the Lord or been swayed by the world's standards using busyness as an excuse, please forgive me at this time . Please allow us to lay down our complicated thoughts and make this a worship service where we focus entirely on the Lord alone. Half of the year has already passed. If there are young people who are still feeling lost and exhausted due to issues with employment, career paths, and relationships, please help them to move forward in faith that the Lord Himself will come to comfort them and guide their steps in life along the best path in the upcoming second half of the year. Now we will listen to the pastor's sermon. Please pour out the grace we need upon each of us through the pastor, and let the message we hear today become the strength and courage to live tomorrow. I prayed all these things in the name of Jesus . amen. As we praise together, we will offer the gifts you have prepared to God. Lord, I am breaking my life. It attaches to the head. Lord, obtain my entire life and my very existence. Oh Lord, I am breaking my life. It attaches to the head. It is not a waste if it is for the Lord. It is not a waste if it is for the Lord. If it is for our Lord, it is not a waste. I will pray for the offerings I have given. Thank God. Ah, the first half of 2026 has already passed like this, and we are reaching the end of June . God, I confess that everything you have helped me this far and guided me through is your grace. As we begin this year, there may be prayer topics we have earnestly sought before the Lord. God, please forgive us if there has been any weakness in failing to live such a life of faith. Please guide us so that all the time of the second half of this year may be a time when we can once again run toward the goal You have granted us . Because the grace that the Lord God has bestowed upon our lives is so abundant, great, precious, and worthy of thanksgiving, we have sincerely set aside and offer this precious gift at this time. I hope that God will joyfully accept the offerings, and that the Lord will have the grace to fill and supply for the hands that have offered them with immeasurable grace, according to the times and needs. May we not be stingy in the slightest when giving back to You what we have received from You. Remembering that the story of the rich man who filled his barn with grain and was satisfied as he looked at it, only to be told by the Lord, “You fool! If I were to take away your life even today, what use would all this be to you?” is not merely a lighthearted remark recorded in the Bible, but a calling from God for each of our lives, Lord, please be with us so that our lives may be lived following Your guidance every day . We want the living Holy Spirit to speak to each of us today . May you grant us understanding through the word of truth, restore the thirst for the Lord within us, and especially, as we approach the Day of the Father God, may the Holy Spirit personally take charge of us so that this may be a time when it becomes even clearer what prayer topics and with what faith we should approach the Lord . We entrust the entirety of this worship service completely to our Lord, and we pray in the name of the living Jesus. amen. hallelujah. Let us all rise from our seats and move forward together, praising with joy and fellowshipping with one another. I bless you to be filled with God's love. We praise with our joy. I bless you that God's love fills your life. I pray that God's grace will fill us. Let's look left and right one more time. I bless you that God's love fills your life. I pray that God's grace will fill us. We will bless you like this. God is with us today as well. God is with us today as well . amen. The Word of God given to us today is John 7:37 through 38. It is John 7:37 through 38. The Bible I have is on page 157 of the New Testament . Please listen to the voice of the living God as I read the Word . amen. On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink .” "But to those who believe in Me, rivers of living water will flow from within them, just as the Scripture says." Amen. Everyone, please take your seats. yes . Uh, whenever I visit my hometown in Busan, there is a place I always make sure to stop by, even if my itinerary is short . There is a coastal walking path right next to my house. It's a place called Igidae, and I've prepared a photo of it. yes. The coastal promenade is really wonderful, and it looks like this . It's so good. Whenever I go to Busan, uh, I always go out at dawn to run, and yes, to go trekking. If you hand me one more, yes. There are unpaved sections and wooden deck paths along the seaside, and the path is set up so that you can walk and run along it. Inside, the road for vehicles runs somewhat like the Namsan loop, so it is a very good spot for training even when going to Busan. But uh, when I went there recently, one day I was exercising and I got really thirsty, and there is a spring here. A long time ago, about 10 years ago, I went to exercise with my father and found a mineral spring . So, remembering that time, I went to the spring, and oh my goodness, the water was prepared for drinking. If you hand me one more, yes, you can drink like that, and do you see the blue dipper? You can eat it with the water coming out, but if you hand over one more, it is set up like this . Do you see what the red text says right now ? Water quality test results deemed unsatisfactory. Wow, you have no idea how frustrating this is . So I went to eat, but it was unsuitable. yes. Will I eat it or not? I did n't eat it. Right? I was worried you might think I ate it. I'm not that kind of person. yes. Things to eat, things not to eat . I'm not picky about food, but I still don't eat things I can't eat. yes. Anyway, yes. If you look at me, I actually discovered something interesting, but I went there. Now that I don't have that photo, I searched the internet and brought this one. And in it, you know those large containers at the mineral spring, right? I saw someone collecting the spring water using a large white container . I was curious, so I asked that elderly gentleman . Sir, if you look here, can't you see the water quality test result written in red letters saying 'Unsuitable' ? So, I spoke in a communist style. But what does that have to do with anything? Ah, are you having any? When I asked why they were eating this, they asked, " Why aren't you eating it?" Ah, that's strange. Ah, ah, why are you eating? So, do you know what you're saying? I have been drinking this water for over 20 or 30 years without any problems, so I am asking why you are asking me such a question. That's what they were saying . Do you all understand ? It was even reported on the news because the water quality test was unsatisfactory . Well, about two or three years ago. yes. In Busan, out of nearly ten places, tens of percent do not conduct water quality tests . Can't eat. Mineral spring. But hey, the answer was, "We've always done it this way, so it's okay to just do it this way today ." Uh, I was very shocked. Uh, everyone, we know all too well that that answer is n't okay . Right? It's not okay, right? As I was preparing my message, I thought back to that time, and God gave me this kind of heart. This might be the attitude our souls have toward God . Jesus went to find a Samaritan woman who was thirsty for life. What does the Lord say to that woman who could not fill the void left by anything in life? " Uh, they ask, 'How should I worship?' And those who worship God must worship with and with in spirit and in truth. The Lord says this. Now, however, this is a saying that is all too familiar to us . We must worship in spirit and truth. Ah, I know that we must listen with spirit and truth, with our whole heart and soul, yearning with all our core . There is no one who doesn't know. However, we also know very well that we can meet God through worship . It is familiar. However, we know very well that worship is a matter of our thirst and longing, but we do not do it that way. Eat and drink as you are used to. Whenever I lack inspiration, I proceed without it; whenever I lack passion and enthusiasm, I proceed without it; and whenever I simply proceed as I have always done. Everyone, someone like me is the most dangerous person, yet I also prepare sermons every week . Don't you lead praise and prayer ? But the most dangerous thing for someone like me is that there are times when I stand before the Lord with absolutely no thirst for Him. That is the biggest crisis. The most serious crisis is standing here without a thirst for the Lord, speaking of Him, proclaiming Him, and singing His praises, while remaining steeped in the familiar inertia of what has always been done . It is a problem that we do not attend worship services, but do you know what the bigger problem is? It's a problem because it was delivered incorrectly. We must certainly examine through today's worship when we truly worshipped the Lord with a heart of expectation, a thirsty spirit, and a longing spirit. Let's think about this, everyone. If you are in a relationship. It's a hypothetical case. yes . Imagine you are dating . Imagine this. Even if you don't do it, try doing it that way. I bless you. yes . I am in a relationship, and my partner, whom I date 365 days a year, is always late. yes. Imagine this. Does n't it make you angry? We go on dates 365 days a year, so let's meet at 2 o'clock. He comes every day at 2:10 or 2:15. Would n't you get angry? yes. But oh, I can see something coming from way over there. Meeting place. Ah, we did the viewing at Exit 3 of Yaksu Station . I just saw him coming over, and as he was walking, he suddenly said, "Go inside, Olive-hyung," and then sprayed some mist, checked his hair in the mirror, sprayed on some perfume, and came out. Then, suddenly, he went into the appointment. I just came out of the bathroom. Does n't it make you angry? yes. I come without any impatience, no longing to meet the other person, and no expectation; I am always late for dates 365 days a year . How about this? What would your dating partner be thinking? Uh, do I actually like myself? Uh, what do I think of myself? Would n't you think there is some anticipation for the date? Every Sunday morning, before the service, I make an effort to welcome the congregation when they come . yes. When they arrive, I greet them and share a word with them, but in my experience at every church I have served in so far, there are always people who arrive 5, 10, or 15 minutes late. Always come at 52 weeks. Oh, it was fascinating. I found it fascinating. It's always the same face, everyone. However, behind those steps of arriving late to worship every week, the truth is not a failure in time management, but rather the greater crisis lurking beneath the surface: the loss of excitement toward the Lord and the anticipation of meeting Him. Do you have expectations for the Lord? If I were to speak of expectations, I would ask: How is it possible for you to come at 11:40 when you usually arrive at 11:30, stopping by the restroom on the way in to buy a cup of coffee, and just walking all the way here? I think so. Like a lover who is always late for a date, could it be that our holy anticipation for the living God has grown too cold? Everyone, there are religious acts. We have our service. I attend worship services . However, if we do not feel that thirst for the Lord within ourselves and yours, we must realize that this is a very serious problem . Whenever I meet you, whenever I see the saints, I always ask, "What are your prayer requests?" yes . When I ask what your prayer requests are, five out of ten of you say, "I want my family to be healthy and for everyone around me to be happy." I say it like this. yes. There are so many peacemakers living for world peace, aren't there ? Please live your life like this. Five out of ten people say, " Well, are you doing well and peacefully these days?" Nothing special. They say, "I have no prayer requests ." yes. But everyone, does a life without any troubles or problems guarantee peace of mind for my soul? Does the fact that I live my life without any problems and am at peace prove that I am at peace and well, both in my relationship with the Lord and in my faith ? I absolutely do not think so. The question is whether we are being deceived by the outward, superficial, and functional peace of mind that says, "As long as there are no major problems, my soul is safe." Do you know when the real crisis comes? The real crisis comes not when there is no hardship, but when there is no longing for the Lord . How can there be no prayer topics? I want to get to know the Lord better through my longing for Him . I am praying about what kind of life the Lord wants me to live . How can such prayer topics not arise while being in a relationship with the Lord? I always have that kind of curiosity in my mind . Do you know how Satan works today? We do not interfere with preventing worship . Worship. Yeah, do what you have to do . Live a life of faith. But it changes the direction of the thirst for God . Instead of running forward with a thirsty heart and eyes toward God, I keep turning my gaze toward this earth with a thirsty heart . Whenever I think, "Oh, I should be approaching God like this," or " Oh, I want to seek God with these prayer topics," I keep turning my gaze toward the current issues of the world . Hey, that's not the important thing. You need to solve the problem right now. Hey, you need to sort this out right now. Hey, money is the important issue in your life right now, so what are you doing ? It keeps turning our hearts away from land-related issues . Thinking that "I won't be thirsty if I just get money" because I have no money is the most serious evidence of corruption. Changing our thirst for heaven into a thirst for this earth is the most serious spiritual attack against us today. I specifically quoted from C.S. Ruth's Screwtape Letters to explain exactly where that comes from . Everyone, Augustine said this. There is a hole inside the human being . There is an empty seat. It is said that that empty space is a void that can only be filled by God. As for humans themselves. Because I cannot fill that empty space with anything of my own, I have no choice but to live always feeling a thirst in my soul . Everyone, then I’ll ask you a question. Then, what should we humans do to quench the thirst of our souls as believers ? yes. To quench our thirst, there is one premise we must clearly remember right here: that our Lord is one who desires to have fellowship with us . If you look at Revelation 3:20 in the textbook, it says this. yes. Let's read it together. start. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me . amen. The Lord is knocking on the door of our hearts . Hey, let's date. Let's eat together. Let's drink together. Uh, the Holy Spirit of the Lord leads us to Jesus . And Jesus keeps knocking on our door. Let's do it together . Uh, he is knocking on us again today . Why do we prepare for a retreat? Why do we pray, prepare, and fast before a retreat? Why do we prepare in such a way? Why do we distinguish time and distinguish life? The Lord is constantly knocking for us, but because we are so busy in our lives—being too preoccupied with living our own lives and constantly fixating our gaze and hearts toward the earth—we have been unable to hear the Lord 's knocking. Engaging in this discipline means responding to the invitation to leave our daily lives behind and move to a place where we can hear the Lord's knocking . The Lord speaks. If we look at James 4: 8, it describes the characteristics of fellowship with the Lord as follows. Let's read it together. start. Draw near to God. Then He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. You double-minded, purify your hearts. amen. What you all are saying. However, this does not mean that the Lord comes near to us as a result of us first striving, making efforts, and doing all our deeds . What I'm trying to say is, what is your faith? God's love and invitation toward us continue. Hey, I want to date you. Hey, I want to be with you. It is responding to the voice of love, the invitation, and the call, in the fact that we had not been able to hear what He has been saying all along . That is how we move forward with a longing for the Lord. Do you know the order? It is not something I can obtain just by my own efforts; rather, I can grasp it when I approach with a longing for the Lord who is coming to us and speaking to us . Everyone, that is why we need to remember this. Our words from Isaiah 55:1-2. Everyone, when you are thirsty, please look at what you use to fill your thirst . We will read verses 1 and 2 together . start. Come. Come, all you who are thirsty, to the waters. Come, even those without money. Come, come without money and without payment, buy wine and milk . Why do you labor and weigh out silver for what is not food ? I shall hear, and hear. Then you will eat good things, and yourselves will find joy in rich food. amen. The Lord says exactly that. Verse 1: If you show it, come, all you who are thirsty. Without exception, in our lives there is a spiritual longing, hunger, and thirst that can only be filled by the Lord. Do not try to fill this with anything else—with entertainment, fun, material possessions, relationships, or anything else—but come to Me . You can drink the eternal fountain of living water when you come to me. So, what does verse 2 say? Hey, don't try to eat things that aren't food . I told you earlier. If it is unsuitable, I won't eat it. I don't have any food restrictions, but I don't eat like that. So, how do you eat things that are inedible , things that cannot satisfy your thirst even if you eat them ? There is a ship on the vast expanse . The boat is floating, and everything around it is sea water. But what happens if you drink it? It means the thirst is getting worse. You will die even if you drink it . It is not water. But it means you should n't go to the wrong place and dig for offerings with that. yes. No matter how much we try to fill our thirst with money, exercise, games, alcohol, men, women, or other trivial things, only more emptiness comes out of us. Shouldn't you be able to face what your true thirst is ? It is then that we come before the Lord with a broken spirit. Professor Lee O-young said this while reflecting on his life during his lifetime. I was a well-digger my whole life. If you could pass it on once. I always had a thirst for something . This is how they say it . I spent a long time agonizing over what my soul should do to find satisfaction . Isn't this person a truly great scholar of our time? You know there is a book I wrote called "From Intellect to Spirituality ." He was a person without faith. He had outstanding intelligence. I was in a position of opposing reason—that is, opposing that belief and having no faith. But this person met the Lord, and is saying, "I really always had a thirst in my life, but through the Lord, that thirst in my soul could be quenched ." That is what he is saying, everyone. Everyone has a thirst for the truth, a spiritual thirst. The Holy Spirit is the One who enables us to do certain things and in what ways . You are someone who makes one realize their inner self . Everyone, please try asking yourselves a question. Do I have a thirst for you? Do you feel a thirst for the Lord ? If you do n't feel thirsty... oh, Pastor, I have been completely quenched by grace . I have drunk so much water and enjoyed so much grace that I am not thirsty anymore. Not at all. If you haven't felt a thirst, it doesn't mean it has been completely quenched; it simply means you lack awareness of that thirst. They are unaware. So, I mean that I can't feel thirsty. In the spiritual world. There is inevitably a phenomenon of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer . What this means is that the more you quench your thirst, the greater the thirst you feel. Those who experience grace. It is running toward greater grace . Those who have experienced God's living presence through worship. It is moving forward with a longing for the greater presence of God . Those who enjoyed God's grace in the place of prayer. It is moving further into the place of prayer. While doing discipleship training, I gave them only 10 minutes for prayer homework. Pray for more than 10 minutes a day. Then, about two weeks ago, I changed my prayer homework to 20 minutes . But there are probably some people receiving training here who are n't aware of that . But one sister was talking yesterday. Uh, praying for 20 minutes wasn't really easy . But I tried my best. But I was really proud of him. But what I mean is, it’s not that you are barely managing to pray for 20 minutes after going from 10 minutes out of obligation to 10 minutes; rather, because there is joy in the place of prayer and happiness in meeting the Lord, you are willing to pray for 20 minutes. That's it. That's it. There is definitely a gap between the rich and the poor. Those who enjoy grace long for greater grace . Those who cannot enjoy grace . I feel less and less of a need for it. I can't feel it anymore. I ca n't even realize that I'm thirsty. So that's why it's widening. Everyone, if we look at verse 37 of today's text, we find the words of Jesus who sees through the fundamental thirst of human beings, so let us read this passage together . start. On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink .” amen. Jesus is speaking . If anyone is thirsty, come to me and drink. But when this was said is important. What is written at the very beginning here ? This is a very important message for the big day coming up soon after the holiday . The holiday I am talking about here is the Feast of Tabernacles . Among Israel's three major festivals, there is a very important one called the Feast of Tabernacles. When the Feast of Tabernacles begins, people build humble booths using branches and live remembering and commemorating the time when their ancestors—the ancestors of Israel—lived in the wilderness. And this Feast of Tabernacles. It is a season to give thanks for the harvest after finishing the year's farming . Thank you for the grace God has bestowed upon us. Especially, please listen carefully. The most important thing is that on the last day of this season, water is drawn up from Siloam. There was a ritual in which the priests drew water up and poured it onto the altar . So, the Feast of Tabernacles is a day of festival for the people of Israel. And it is a season of harvest joy and abundance. I pour water while crawling . So it is abundant. There is plenty to eat. There are plenty of drinks available. It is a season in the midst of great abundance . But what does Jesus say at this point ? If anyone is thirsty, come to me and drink. Is this right or not? It doesn't fit. Right? So, what these people think is that the Feast of Tabernacles is precisely the most inappropriate time for Jesus to extend an invitation like this . The water is overflowing because people are being mobilized for the water fetching event. Now that the drinking is over, there is plenty to eat. It is the most abundant time of the year. But what do you think the people hearing this thought ? Why are you out of your mind? Why are you telling us this? None of us are thirsty. We have everything we need . I'm enjoying everything I can. Nothing is lacking . We are at peace. We're fine. I'm doing well. Jesus is speaking. Would you like to display verse 37 one more time? He stood up and shouted, saying, "This is what he is saying." Listen up, people. He is standing and shouting loudly. If anyone is thirsty, come to me and drink. I wonder why he did that? Everyone, because Jesus knew the fact that all humans are thirsty beings, He accurately discerns that even if our bodies are full, all our wishes are fulfilled, and we achieve what we desire while living outwardly in peace like these people, there is a deepest thirst at the root of our hearts . I told you back then, on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The priests draw water and stand at the altar . So, the act of pouring water is... Every Feast of Tabernacles, the priests perform so skillfully and with such practice. These Jews did an excellent job with the act itself. However, they do not realize just how barren their own souls are . Hey, the religious act of pouring water during the Feast of Tabernacles isn't what's important; aren't your spirits parched right now ? Do your spirits have an encounter with me now? I'm saying it's not . I'm saying it's not. It’s not the act of worship itself that is important, nor is it the life you serve and live in peace without any problems that is important; shouldn’t you be able to look at your own existence ? The Lord is speaking. We hold worship services every week. Every year, we prepare for, plan, and attend the retreat. What is important is not the act of worshipping and attending retreats itself, but whether our hearts are truly responding sincerely before God right now. Are we thirsty because of the Lord? Everyone, we need to check that. What are you using to quench your thirst ? What are you filling my throat with? Training is a time to examine our faith. To those who are cut off from fellowship and parched, even though God desires to commune with us, let us restore and be together again. It is the voice of the Lord's call inviting and inviting . So, a question. Uh, Pastor, then, during the Sunday service, is the Lord not present? Is there no presence of the Lord during Sunday worship ? You have the Lord. Let's do this together . But you can enjoy grace. But I would like to ask you a question. Amidst our busy and noisy daily lives, isn't the honest truth that we struggle to keep our hearts centered even on worshipping here once a week, letting our emotions fluctuate and being swayed by our circumstances, thus failing to properly observe a single Sunday service ? That is why we prepare a place of grace for ourselves every day . I am preparing. Could the image of religious leaders who habitually and intellectually perform the act of pouring water during the Feast of Tabernacles, yet at its core fail to even feel the thirst of their own souls, perhaps be a reflection of ourselves today ? Then I hope you will face it honestly. Jesus speaks. Shall we read verse 38 together? Let us read verse 38 together. start. Whoever believes in Me, rivers of living water will flow from within them, just as the Scripture says. Amen. Jesus is speaking . Everyone's emotional manifestations and situations are different. Although the situations at home are all different, there is only one fundamental cause that can be resolved . The Lord promises that when we come to Jesus, the source of living water, and respond with faith in Him, rivers of living water will overflow from within us through Him . Everyone, I earnestly hope that today’s worship service will be a place where the work of life flowing within Jesus rises up from within us through a personal encounter with Jesus, and that it will be a place of all the grace of the pilgrimage we are preparing . Everyone, when I was attending seminary—uh, when I was in my fourth year—I returned from the military and was 25 years old. I used to be the dormitory student representative. The student president was responsible for things like roll call and management, and the seminary was a bit like the military. So, while helping Pastor Apple and receiving a scholarship, I performed those roles at the dormitory, and one of the most important tasks was playing carols because there was an early morning service every day. Dawn Song So, I was selecting a song for dawn and playing that worship song. When I lived in the dormitory during my first and second years, I came across a worship team and a worship song that I disliked. Because, everyone, try waking up every day while listening to the same praise song. At some point, I started to dislike that praise. I don't really listen to Pastor Cheong Gwan-neung's praise songs. He is such a good person, though. Well, at that time, this was there, so yes. I wake up listening to things like "Stars in the Sky," but I do it so late and I don't like it. sorry. yes. But ironically enough, while serving as the dormitory student president, I listened to the same praise song for an entire year. Could you please give me a space? Thirsty ones. yes . Uh, this is the first track from the Worship Leader Conference— so, the 2010 album—and it starts with a drum beat. It starts with a very upbeat drum beat, helping you wake up feeling lighthearted . Well, this is my personal official opinion, but the first line of the praise song is this . I used to wake up every day with joy, listening to Lee Chang-han with such deep affection . Come to the Lord, the source of living water, you who are thirsty and weak. Hey, when I listen to praise songs, I stand up as soon as I hear the first verse, you know. Whether I went to bed at 1 or 2 a.m. the day before due to homework, or woke up at 5:30, or went to bed early—I truly woke up with joy every single day without fail . With that, I was the first to rush out to the early morning prayer service with a longing heart. It is true that it really sprang out. Ah, as I prepare my sermon right now, He is bringing to mind my past self from my fourth year of seminary, when I responded to the Lord with a thirsty heart . Wow, I responded with such a thirsty heart. Ah, even though I am now in the midst of leading worship so familiarly, so naturally, perhaps even so habitually, am I really approaching the Lord with this kind of thirst ? The Lord asked, "Hey, are you doing that?" They asked me that question. I will conclude my remarks here. Why do you all gather every Sunday to worship? Why do you prepare for retreats and attend the carts every time? It is about deciding our minds. It is to make a firm decision. Lord, please fill the emptiness in our souls that cannot be filled by anything in this world. We make up our minds. Reverend A.W. Tozer said this. We can experience God as much as we want. In that sense, today's scripture is a true comfort. Could you please skip verse 37 just one more time? What is written there, everyone? If anyone is thirsty, there are no restrictions on two things. One is anyone. There are no restrictions on the target. Whether you have many hands or few, happy or sad, sinful or innocent, anyone... I found these words so comforting. Whether you are far away from me or close and intimate, whether you are in a position where you are always trying to run away or whoever comes near saying, "Lord, I love you," do this to me, whoever you may be. The voice of the Lord extending a hand of unconditional love. Ah, I could feel this, and it was such a comfort to me. There is no other suggestion. If you are thirsty. If you're thirsty, there isn't a specific topic. Right ? No matter what you thirst for, no matter where you are, it is a thirst that cannot be quenched by anything. Wherever it is in your soul, the source of all that thirst—the source of living water that can fill it—comes forth from me. How comforting this word is to us! How wonderful it would be if our worship were always moving and always filled with grace! But sometimes we are a blessing, and sometimes we are not, are we ? But everyone, the thing I really want to tell you is this. You know, there is a watch. clock. What a clock does is not set the time myself. The clock just keeps ticking endlessly . The clock always keeps moving in its proper place, with the minute, second, and hour hands right where they belong . Then, who is the person adjusting that time ? It is done by the owner of the watch . When we worship God with a thirsty heart, there are times when I feel nothing, times when I feel no inspiration, and times when, even in the midst of any situation or crisis, there is much for me to do. There is a test. I have something I need to do . I also have a part-time job. There are many important things. But let's try our best on the days we can amidst that situation . Let us move forward, yearning for the place where I can serve and the place of grace . When we go forth in such longing and recover our thirst, how could God not grant us grace right there ? The point is that we need that longing to be restored. Do you have that? If you don't have that, let's pray while longing for it. Lord, please help me . Isn't it our weak nature to say, "I am fine because I have been doing this until now— going to a spring to get water and drinking it—even though it is obvious that we are so parched and inadequate ? Lord, please help me . God, please work so that the Lord's thirst within me may be restored . I hope that our worship becomes a time of approaching our Lord with such longing, and that we may become such gentlemen . I earnestly pray that, even today, before the loving voice of the Lord who says to us, “Come to me, whoever is thirsty,” I stand before the Lord, here I am. Please help me. I earnestly pray in the name of the Lord that the lives of all of us, my beloved, and yourselves may move forward in such a way . We will all take a seat together. I hope we can praise together with a prayerful heart, remembering the message we have heard . We remember that the essence of our faith in God is centered on Jesus, the source of living water . I confess that worshipping the Lord God and rejoicing in Him is my only hope . Lord, please work through us . Please restore the longing for the Lord within me. With such a longing spirit, let us unite our hearts and praise together. We praise together. The Lord who came as light . The Lord, who came as light, illuminates my darkness. Wash away all the weakness within me and bring me here. The Lord who came into my life. The Lord who came into my life. All fears are greater. Lord, my all, I will rely only on You. I will lift my eyes and look only to the Lord . Worshipping the Lord, worshipping the Lord, rejoicing in the Lord—I desire for you, Lord, to know with my heart and will. Loving the Lord, longing for the Lord, my only hope. Let's confess once again from the beginning. The Lord who came as light . Lord, with your light, illuminate all the darkness, all the hunger, and all the thirst within me; please work within me and be present. Wash away all the weakness within me, and remember me . I praise the Lord who has come into my life. The Lord who has come into my life covers all fears. Lord, my all, I will rely only on You. Lift your eyes and look only to the Lord. We praise together with all our hearts. Worshipping the Lord. Worshipping the Lord . Rejoicing in the Lord . Understand my heart and intentions. I want to know the Lord. Loving the Lord , longing for the Lord, my only hope. Worshipping the Lord . Worshipping the Lord . Rejoicing in the Lord . I desire to know the Lord with my heart and will. Loving the Lord , longing for the Lord, is my only hope. God, as you pray together, believing that there are no problems in my life, that I am at peace, and that the water I am drinking is still sufficient, we come to face the fact that I was drying up, without even realizing the deep thirst in the center of my soul . God, please work so that I may break my spiritual insensitivity and my inertia and move forward . Please awaken me from the inertia of formality and discipline that thinks, "This is good enough," or "This is safe enough." Help me to lead a religious life that is merely formal, to realize the thirst of my soul, and to move forward with the thirst of the Lord God . Please restore the longing heart . Please restore the longing of my soul to worship the Lord and to go forth yearning for Him . With such a longing spirit, let us earnestly listen to the Lord and pray together. Lord, I want to know the Father. There is a place to buy the Lord, to buy the Lord, Father God, God, God, and a place where God is with me, but within me, within me, is there truly a thirst for the Lord ? I pray for blessings only in the Lord. I want to be filled only with the Lord. I have such a longing for God the Father, only through the Lord . We seek pleasure in things, and we constantly try to fill ourselves with relationships, material possessions, inner richness, and other things; yet, how sincerely are we responding to the Lord’s call, who constantly invites us, approaches us, and speaks to us ? I want to follow the Lord. O God, please stop the vain labor of digging broken pits and digging worldly wells that cannot yield, and work in us so that we may have a thirst for You, an urgency for You, for You . Lord, please hold us. I am filled with an earnest, fervent desire to be able to approach the place where we ought to be with faith, before the voice of the Lord who constantly speaks to me . Lord, please do this for me . We praise God together. Please fill me . Fill me, touch me. Raise me up . Call my soul with the Lord's endless living water at this very moment. Fill me, touch me. Raise me up . Please fill my heart, which no one in this world can fill, so that I may see You. I confess my feelings to you once again. Please fill me. Let us fill the day, proclaim it to your souls, and confess with faith before our Lord. Raise me up . At this very moment, please give my soul the Lord's endless living water. Fill me, touch me. Raise me up . Fill my heart, which no one in this world can fill, so that I may see You. When we pray together for just one more thing, following the words of our Lord, there is no limit to the recipients to whom He says, "Come to Me, all You Who Are Thirsty." There are no limits to our hearts. The Lord who tells you to come to Him, no matter what your prayer topics, what your longings, or what situations you are in . We come before the Lord. Please work so that our souls may experience the grace of quenching through that personal encounter with the Lord God . Please forgive my weakness in not being where I should have been because my slack-off had worn off and the clock of my faith had stopped. Please guide us so that we may resolve to cast our lives into that place of grace where we ought to be. Especially through this occasion, please work so that we may experience the grace of the Lord's living water, and that our lives and our entire community of young people may be fully attuned to the Lord's hand . Longing for the grace You will give us, we will cry out earnestly to the Lord once again and pray together, East and West. Lord, Father God, we come forward longing for Your grace. God, please grant the living water of the Holy Spirit within me. I want God to fill me. God, please add grace upon grace so that the work of God’s life, which lifts me up from the place of my life where I sit down and gives me strength, may abundantly overflow within us. God, the Father of my soul, whom nothing else can fill the thirst of my soul that nothing else can make of my weakness . We desire that the Lord’s endless living water be poured endlessly into our souls—limitless, boundless, and without any restrictions or restrictions. God, truly God, we pray that the Lord’s endless living water will be poured out endlessly upon our souls . God, especially through this upcoming repair, may our intimacy with You be further restored and deepened; may You bless the calling You have for each of us individually; and Father God, please guide us so that we may take our place in faith before the calling You have truly spoken to us as a community. Therefore, we desire to come before You with joy. I make a decision. God the Lord casts us into the place of faith where we ought to be. Lord, please work through me . O God the Father, grant us grace upon grace. Father, be with us through your amazing grace and the water of life. Let us confess once again. Worshipping the Lord. Worshipping the Lord . Rejoicing in the Lord. Understand my heart and intentions. The Lord also wants to know. Loving the Lord, longing for the Lord . My only hope. Worshipping the Lord, worshipping the Lord, rejoicing in the Lord—with my heart and will, I desire to know the Lord more. Loving the Lord , longing for the Lord , is my only hope. Even though Jesus, the source of God's eternal living water, is constantly knocking on the door of our hearts, our faith is perhaps like, "Lord, I did this." Lord, I have kept this. Was n't the focus too heavily placed on our own nature in the phrase, "He drew the water and poured it on the altar"? We stand before the voice of the Lord, who says that although we were reassured, thinking, "God, I am fine, I am at peace," you are the one who most needs the realization of your thirst. God, we desire to approach You with such a thirsty heart for this one worship service we offer. God, please firmly hold our lives so that during every retreat we prepare for each year, we may not let time simply slip away meaninglessly, but even if it is just a single worship service, even if it is just a single day, may we approach it with a longing heart, wondering, "What will You say to me? What grace of restoration will You grant me?" Are there obstacles that prevent you from being with God? Are there things in my heart that I cannot decide on ? God, please help all those hearts and situations, and may You open our spiritual eyes and earnestly open the doors of our circumstances so that we may set our eyes on heaven . O God, may this hot summer be a time when we wholeheartedly sing of Your beauty and respond to You. Lord, please work fully within our community through Your amazing grace . May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the great love of God the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit’s comfort, fellowship, and guidance be with all the members of the body of faith who worship with our beloved young people who resolve in their hearts to respond with faith to the Lord’s call saying, “Come to Me, all you who are thirsty,” from now until eternity . amen. hello. hello.
