All right, check out these desk accessories. I've got some that nobody else would have just thought to buy and try out. But as a tech reviewer, I've had the privilege of really trying a lot of desk accessories out. Some of them are total garbage, but there's a few that I've absolutely loved and I want to talk about in this video. So, I have I think about 20 to 25 different things that you really might enjoy that can upgrade your desk to the next level, making you more productive, making your desk more interesting, like floating plant pots, actually useful docking station. So, let's start off with uh in no particular order, one thing that has absolutely changed my desk is this right here. This is the Jieterean 12-in-1 power station. And the big thing is that I have a lot of things to charge, phones, earbuds, whatever, and this has four USB-C cables that you can just slide right out. And that means I don't have a big like bird's nest of wires all over. But below that, if I want to, maybe something else has a USB Type-C charging cable, like a Garmin watch for example, I can plug it in down here. And on the back, there's four outlets, so I can plug in like my monitors and other things. This drastically reduces the wires I need on my desk, mainly because you can just pull out a charging cable when you need one, and when you don't, it retracts into nothing. Right next to that, you can see my laptop. I I work with the three monitors and a laptop, so I really like having my laptop up a little bit. If you watch my previous videos, I've always had a laptop riser, but typically, you know, you buy them on Amazon, they're kind of expensive, they're not that great, and they're kind of really bulky. But this one right here, 3D printed. It's called the impossible laptop riser or laptop stand. I'll have links down below, by the way, to everything in this video, uh 3D printing links if you guys want to print your own things, as well as like the Jieterean and other things, product links so you can buy it. Helps to support the channel at no extra cost to you. So, this right here, the laptop riser, a lot of the other risers, because it's sitting up on this elevated surface here, I like to rotate my laptop a little bit inwards. But the big footprint of the other ones just stuck out in a weird way and this just looks way cleaner and it just holds the front of my laptop right there. Now, you might think is that actually secure? Well, no, my laptop's like really stable. I can hit it anywhere. It never falls. It never wobbles and it seems to be doing just fine. This is a MacBook Pro 14-in but I think it also works with the 16-in. The only downside is you can't close your laptop all the way. I never do that at my desk anyway. So, this is absolutely perfect. One of the biggest productivity improvements I got for my desk was this right here. This is the Framework louder collab. It's a macro keypad and that means you're able to customize any of these keys to do basically anything you want. So, if I'm editing a video, I have hot keys to like cut or whatever, you know, do different things that are normal just commands on your keyboard but you can string them all together here. You can even make longer things. You can make an email signature. You could really do anything you want and on the bottom left there's kind of a little capacitive touch button. So, you can cycle between three different keypads that you can customize on the application on your laptop. So, I find this so useful. Of course, you get the knob in the corner. Most of the time I'm using this as a volume knob. But, this not only looks really cool but is incredibly functional and I think anybody, no matter what you're doing, you can really customize this to make it more efficient. Maybe it's like email replies. Maybe there's shortcuts to open different applications. Maybe there's different button combinations use in an application. I find it so great to have all the keyboard shortcuts just as an individual keystroke on this. By the way, in case you guys are wondering, I'll talk more about that thing in a minute. We'll get to that. But, of course, any good desk you need to have a good chair. I used to be so anti premium chair. I just bought the cheapest one at Staples and it would like jab into my back and I thought, you know what, that's fine. It encourages me to stand more at a sit-stand desk. But, after I met up with Dan from the Honestly channel and I he reviews chairs. I tried this one right here. Absolute game changer. This is the best chair I've ever tried. I had to get one and this is the Liber Novus Omni Pro. So, if there's only one thing you take away from this video, just trust me, get this chair. I've recommended it to a few people, they've already bought it, they absolutely love it. Let me explain how this chair works. So, you've got four or five different recline modes, so you can sit upright, you can recline a little tiny bit, or you can recline like all the way back. People do it and they feel like they're going to fall out of the chair because you're not used to having an office chair go back that far. Honestly, it's great. After like a long run, I go right to my desk, I recline all the way, and this also has two buttons on the left side. One is a ball chiller, it just has a fan in the seat. There's two different levels, absolutely incredible, and there's also a little like massage traction button that kind of pushes up in the middle of your back and releases, and it just feels really good. The chair is also super adjustable armrests, you can rotate them, you can pitch them in and out, and just sitting in this chair, it is the most comfortable chair I've ever used at my desk. Also, in the world of premium chairs, a lot of them get really expensive, so I like this one as a really good value, but also incredibly comfortable. I'll have a link down below. I've contacted before. This is not sponsored by Liectroux Novu, but I think I can get I think they said there was like a promo code. If there's anything, I'll put it in the description down below. But, I'm not always sitting, a lot of times, like I said, it's a sit-stand desk, so I really do like standing. And what I've been using recently is this little surfboard looking thing that kind of keeps you more engaged, you can like balance, you kind of move around, and and I find that I'm able to stand a lot longer when I use that, and my feet don't get really tired. And it's actually called the Fluid Stance. This one can get a little bit more expensive, so it's not like a must-have, but I actually really enjoy it. There's three different models on their website. I recommend just getting the cheapest one, uh, and it kind of is like really fun to use while you're working. I I'm someone who like fidgets and leans around a lot, and this is the perfect way to kind of keep me in one place. Number six on this list, if you have a laptop and you don't have a good docking station, you're missing out. This docking station right here is so different than like the cheap ones you get on Amazon that give you like an HDMI and a USB-C. This thing is an absolute beast, and it definitely is more expensive. It's I think $400 and there's three different models, really. This is the CalDigit TS4, TS5, and TS5 Plus. And this thing, like, you can plug in multiple 4K monitors, multiple hard drives, mouse, keyboard, everything you would want, and it just gives you one cable to plug in to your laptop. It's Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5, if you get the new one, that's what the TS5 stands for. And, like I said, this cleans up my desk a lot. I only have one thing plugged into my laptop. It also gives my laptop power. And, like I said, file transfer is fast, everything is very smooth. Old ones, they would heat up, they would they wouldn't work well. It was like 1080 resolution. This thing is a total beast, and I know it's almost the price of some laptops, but I think it's really worth it. Some people may disagree with me on this one, but on either side of my desk, I have the Bose Lifestyle 360 speakers. I wanted to make a full review of these speakers. Honestly, they were a little buggy early on. They didn't connect well to my mesh network. And even now, sometimes there's a couple weird quirks, but they do sound really good. They're perfect in stereo at that distance. I play off my phone all the time. I could connect my laptop to them, but honestly, most of the time I'm just playing from my phone. You can also stream as well, and I mean, they just sound so good. Leave a comment if I should make a video about those speakers. Number eight on this list, you're going to be disappointed in me, but last year, the number one comment I just kept getting on my desk accessory video was, "Dude, you have to clean the dust off your desk." And yeah, you guys are totally right. So, I went out and spent like $100 on a duster. Maybe I spent too much, I don't know. Did I spend too much? I bought the Wolf Box duster. Unfortunately, after like 2 months of using it, I lost it. I've no idea where it is, but I do have this little thing right here some company sent me, basically a knockoff of the Wolf Box, but I think it's meant to be like a personal fan. It also could spray water, so I don't have any water in there. I don't want to spray water on stuff, but it's a really powerful little handheld fan that can blow the dust off like out of, you know, your keyboard or little grooves, places that are hard to reach and dust with like a rag, for example, this thing does a great job. Of course, it sends it all airborne, so I'd recommend getting an air purifier. I'll mention that later in the video, just to filter that dust out then, so it's not, you know, in your lungs. Back to the 3D printing things now. I've got two that also, I mean, 3D printed. I really love these designs. I didn't come up with these designs, so again, I'll have link links to them down below. One of them is a pen organizer with two different colors. You could choose obviously what they are. So, I've got this like cobalt metallic blue and then a gray on the inside. And you can set it upright or you can tilt it down. I find that looks really nice, so I have that in the corner. And of course, for the most important pencil, everybody has like a favorite pen or favorite pencil, you got to have that held up by DoodleBob. If you don't have a DoodleBob pencil holder on your desk, I assume it's because you don't have a 3D printer. And if you don't already have a 3D printer, I highly recommend this one right here. So, I've been using Bambu Lab's printers for a really long time. This is the Bambu Lab X2D, the sponsor of this segment of the video. Honestly, I used to be a mechanical engineer and do a lot of designing in CAD, but but this is a completely different experience because honestly, you don't even need a computer anymore. You can use your phone. You just open up the Bambu app, search for, say, Spider-Man, find a model that you like. It's designed for your printer, so it's already sliced and ready to go. And then you just tap on send to your printer from your phone. It sends it over to your printer. And as long as you have the right filaments, like make sure you have the right ones on top of your printer, then it'll just start printing. It'll show you updates on your phone. You can watch it in real time from anywhere in the world. So, if you're at the store, you can check and see, how's my print doing? And it also has a dual nozzle setup, so it can print multiple materials without purging between every single color change, which means you have less waste, faster prints, and you get really nice multi-color prints like this Spider-Man right here. And this printer has a lot of tech inside an active chamber temperature control, so your prints don't warp. They're always looking as good as possible. And there's really like no settings to dial in when you first get this. You just plug it in and it's ready to go. I've never had a print look bad out of this printer. And part of that is because it calibrates itself and has an AI camera watching the print so you never come back to some spaghetti masters something. You can load four different filaments on the top and one on the side and it automatically recognizes the color and material. So since I got this as you guys could probably tell throughout this video, I have not stopped printing and printing so many different things for my desk, for different parts of my house, designing things in CAD, downloading models. It's just so fun to use and I highly recommend this one. It's also a lot more affordable than my previous X1C, which is shocking considering this printer is better in many ways. So if you want to start making your own stuff, check out the Bambu Lab X2D and the MakerWorld models. I'll have linked down below. If you guys want to get this printer, I'll have the latest sale price in the description. Check it out. Thanks to Bambu for sending this over and sponsoring this portion of the video. Now back to some other things that are less functional and just honestly fun to have. Kind of brings your desk to life. One thing is something that actually moves. It's a levitating plant pot. Now you could put other things in here. You could put in like your keys or you know, other random things. But having a plant in there does look really cool. The only downside is that while this does look like magic and it spins and it's really cool, if you ever lost power, it kind of like drops because you know, it's plugged in. That's how the electromagnets keep it up. Um and if it drops like dirt will kind of fly everywhere. So maybe a fake plant would be a good move for this one. I had a real plant last year and I I had this happen on more than one occasion. However, levitating plant pot, super cool. Also makes a great gift for somebody. Anybody who has a desk would generally enjoy having a levitating plant. On to number 12 on this list. So you know how whenever you get a delivery that needs a signature from like FedEx or UPS or whatever, I swear they wait until you're like looking away from the window or you have headphones on and they just sneak up and like slap the tag on your door and run away and it just says, "Sorry, we missed you." And and you miss like three deliveries and then you have to go pick it up. I had this Maybe this never happens to you. I had this happen so many times. I ended up finding this little thing on Amazon. I think it was like $15. It's a wireless motion sensing doorbell. So, you've two devices. One goes by your door and it senses any motion when people get near it. Then the other device you can put on your desk. It'll alert you when somebody's there. So, if I know I have an important package coming, I'll set this up. I'll turn them on and it saved me so many times from missing packages. Like when I'm working, I usually just lock in. I've headphones on. I'm working. I'm focused. I I never hear anyone knock on the door. And speaking of like locking and focusing, I I'm always testing different headphones, but the one pair of headphones I keep coming back to for my desk are these right here. These are the Sennheiser HD 630s. I think these sound absolutely incredible. I would say they're the best sounding Bluetooth headphones uh wireless Bluetooth headphones you can buy. And they also have a really cool little dongle that make it easy to connect to other devices. You just plug it in by USB type-C if you don't want to connect by Bluetooth and that'll give you better resolution. It also makes it much faster and more reliable. If you're like, "Oh, I have a meeting coming up." You just plug that in to any device and you're going to be connected and ready to go. And speaking of meetings, if you're taking a lot of meetings with like a multi-monitor setup especially on an Apple device, you pretty much need to use continuity camera. Otherwise, like the laptop's on the side and it's kind of giving a weird side angle. It looks like you're not paying attention in the meeting and the video quality's obviously a lot lower as well. So, if you use continuity camera, just setting up your iPhone next to your MacBook, the camera quality's way better. You can put it where you want and I just 3D printed a simple little mount here. Anybody could design this super easy. It's just like a Z shape uh extruded basically and uh you just measure the thickness of your monitor. I use Autodesk Fusion 360. It's a free modeling software. So, you just download that, make this for whatever dimensions you want. I can actually upload my own file if you guys want to just copy this one. Should work on most monitors and I can slide this left and right as I need to. It's the perfect size so my iPhone camera sticks up over my monitor and it makes the video quality so much better. All right. Going to recline here so I can show you guys my keyboard and my mouse setup. So, the mouse and the keyboard are both from Logitech. They're the Ergo mouse and the Ergo keyboard, uh the MX Ergo, I think is what they're called. I'll link them down below. I've been using these for like 3 or 4 years now, probably 5 or 6 years now. I can type really fast with them. It takes a little getting used to, but having an ergonomic setup for both the mouse and keyboard prevents a lot of injuries. I actually had like a wrist problem from an old keyboard I used to have. That's why I got this back in like 2020. I absolutely love this keyboard. I could never go back. It does take some getting used to, but this thing is such a game changer. Below that, I have the Harbor London leather mat. Having a leather mat just kind of protects your desk, looks nice, it's easier to clean, and again, just is kind of a nice premium feel that enhances your desk. Two more 3D printed things that I use a lot. One of them over here is a headphone hook. It's kind of a two-tone headphone hook, so I've got the copper color that matches my wood, and on the inside a green accent color. It also threads under your desk, so you just put it wherever you want. It's not leaving any marks, and I can hang my headphones, again, anywhere on my desk. The second thing, as you can see right up here, that is a screwdriver holder. So, a lot of times I'm doing projects, this other desk behind me, you might have noticed this, um that's like where I film a lot of things, a lot of top-down. So, having a way to have screwdrivers and and like, you know, things for unboxing and assembling different different setups, so useful to have that. And then, this arm right here that you guys might have seen the entire time, that doesn't count as one of the desk accessories. I think most people would not have that. That's something as a tech reviewer, I'm using to, you know, film top-down shots, unboxing, stuff like that. Anytime you see a blue background, it's filmed, you know, right behind me there. So, not to deviate too far, back to absolutely essential core thing that I love having on my desk, it's this right here. This is a MagSafe charging stand. There are so many MagSafe charging stands out there, but the one that I really like on my desk is the Belkin 3-in-1. So, it has an Apple Watch charger on the back, a little wireless charger on the top for AirPods, but it works for really any other wireless earbuds. And then on the front, of course, the MagSafe mount for AirPods, for Android phones like Pixels, or any phone if you have a Mouse case on it. And of course, iPhones charge as well. So, I have that set up right next to my laptop. I can play music off that. I see phone calls, notifications, and my phone is always charged up because it's sitting on a charger all day at my desk. For working at night, I have this lamp right here. I printed this one, believe it or not. absolutely incredible for a 3D print. That's what I was saying earlier about that bamboo printer. It's able to do some really incredible things with different kinds of filaments. This one's translucent, of course, and you can buy a lot of cool accessories like this little light puck I have on the inside. There's a remote. I can change the colors. There's also a button I can turn it on and off. And it's just a really fun thing to have on your desk that also saves you a bunch of money by not having to go out and buy an expensive lamp. Number 23, I guess I haven't mentioned what desk I'm using yet. So, my desk is the Vernal standing desk. It's all walnut, so I really like the way it looks. It's super heavy. It's also the executive size, so I think it's like 5 ft long. It's way longer than the average desk. It's also deeper, so gives you a ton of real estate. And it's a sit-stand desk. So, you have three presets on the left side here. Number one, I have set for sitting. Number two, goes up to standing. And then, I actually never use number three. I only use one and two. But, you can manually set several different heights. Maybe the third one would be if I'm on that fluid stance, so maybe like a little bit higher. I could probably probably should do that. The only downside of this desk, I absolutely love it, but the only downside is if you have too much weight on one side, there is a sensor in here that'll stop it from going up and down. It's meant to stop if you like hit a if a cable snagged or something, so you don't rip cables or or burn out the motors. But, sometimes I find it's a little too sensitive if you just have a little extra weight on one side or the other. Aside from that, I think it's a beautiful desk. I love the way it's built. Plenty of space. Also have this riser. Also have the monitor arms that I got from Vernal as well. I got them like a year ago and a little filing cabinet behind me. It all goes well together and gives me a clean desk setup. Now, I mentioned the Jittery and charger in the beginning of the video was great for charging things by USB-C, but some things like your mouse, your keyboard, just random things use uh double a batteries and I'm I never have double a batteries on hand until this past year where I got the O Station 2. It's a it's a battery charger so you can get double a uh and triple a batteries that are rechargeable. You just drop them in the top when they're dead and then it kind of like charges them, organizes them, stores them and you have little drawers in the bottom. You just pull it out and you can get two fresh ones or one at a time or whatever you want. And uh I use this all the time. It's been an absolute game changer so I'm not like, "Oh, is this battery half dead, all the way dead? Do I not have batteries and I run to the store?" This having a recharging device like this that you don't have to remember to like put them on and take them off so incredible. Highly recommend this. It's again not cheap. It's like $130 or $140. So, not for everyone. I'm sure there's some cheaper ones out there, but if money is no object, this one was sent to me by the brand like months and months ago and I'm just saying I really enjoy it. By the way, it works for a number of different styles of batteries and different brands and it doesn't matter which orientation you put them in the top so you can just kind of drop all your batteries in um and it doesn't matter which way is positive. It's going to charge them just fine. That brings me to number 25 on this list. I highly recommend if you're trying to really lock in at your workspace that you have decent air quality. So, I have an air purifier. This one's from Winix. It was like a pretty good value where it's not super expensive. The filters are really cheap, but I did some research and and it seems to test really well and still filter out a lot. It has a carbon filter as well as a HEPA filter. I think a HEPA 13 or 14 filter on the inside. So, it does a great job of purifying the air, but also maybe you want to get something like a little air monitor, see you know what your CO2 levels are. If they're too high, consider opening a window. It actually does make a pretty big difference once your levels get over like 1200, you can start to just not feel as alert and as sharp. So, if you're feeling tired during the work day, there's a decent chance it could be because, you know, your air quality is just not that good. So, those are the desk accessories that I use a lot. Some of them are more useful than others probably for some people, and some of them are more fun, more interesting. But, leave a comment down below. Let me know which of these you liked and what your favorite desk accessory is that I didn't use. I'm always looking for new ones, and if you have any recommendations, I'm I'm happy to buy them and and try them out. Thanks for watching, guys. Check out the links below, and I'll see you in the next video.
